Actually, it's not Link Monsters that are disliked by the community, it's Master Rule 4. It's Master Rule 4 that people dislike, not the Link Monsters. The Link Monsters themselves are fine, but many people dislike Master Rule 4 because of the Extra Deck limitation. The Extra Deck limitation is the reason why people are angry, not Link Monsters themselves. Master Rule 4 is the problem because it severely limits the Extra Deck, it's not Link Monsters by themselves. The problem people have is not Link Monsters in general, but Master Rule 4 and the changes it brings. Look at it (Master Rule 4 and Links) this way:
If it was just Link Monsters, people wouldn't have a problem. People don't really have a problem with Link Monsters. But the problem is in the fact that Master Rule 4 prevents you from using other Extra Deck monsters without Links.
Master Rule 4 is the actual issue. Without it, people wouldn't be angry. Master Rule 4 makes it so that you cannot use your Extra Deck like you did before without using Link Monsters, which is why people are angry.
That's kinda the whole deal in a nutshell, and the reason why people are angry at Master Rule 4, not the Link Monsters themselves. The proper way to handle this would be getting rid of Master Rule 4 (which restricts Extra Deck usage without Link monsters), but keeping Link Monsters, since they aren't a problem by themselves. I hope that clears things up, and shows the reason why people are angry (that being the inclusion of Master Rule 4, not exactly Link Monsters).

I know I'll probably get down voted due to the nature of this subreddit, but here we go. So I was a vegan for many months and I was pumped when I found this active subreddit full of passionate vegans like me. I could post pics of my vegan meals and I felt very supported here; all was good. But then I noticed some things. First, I found that literally half the posts are 'vegan victim' posts about being interrogated by non vegans. Most people I know don't really care about my being vegan, and if they do, the most that happens is a 5 minute debate/argument about it and then we move on. I understand it's different for some people but why so many posts about it, it got old after I saw like 4 or 5 on the main page in a day. Second, so many vegans on this sub seem to have lost sight of the actual purpose of the movement. There is a big focus on taking the moral high ground by not eating meat, which in turn alienates vegans and keeps them from being taken seriously by non vegans (no one wants to listen to a condescending vegan). There is a reason there's stigma around the vegan movement and the word 'vegan'. Veganism should be viewed the same we we view saving water; people should eat plant-based when they can, and buy vegan products when they can, just how you would take a bus instead of drive your car to lessen your carbon footprint. This is also probably a more realistic goal for most people. I'm still a plant-based eater, I just don't want to be part of this sub anymore. Eat a dick, guys, stay vegan!

How to make the perfect hard-boiled eggs:

Step 1: The Boiling Stage
