So, I've decided to return to Yugioh. Hopefully everyone's been doing well during my hiatus from the game, yes?

I've decided to theme this archetype based on, you guessed it, Harry Potter. Enjoy.

Welcome to Yugioh. Look around you in the current modern meta game and ask yourself, "When was the last time Komoney promised to never make a tier 0 format?" 'Cause we've had multiple tier 0 formats over the past couple of years.

We first had Dragon Rulers, then we had PePe, then we had Zoodiacs. And now we have Ishizu Tearlaments and Spright.

I've learned to get used to it. A friend once told me to constantly ask myself this question whenever I'm building a deck - "What can MY deck do against the modern meta decks turn 1?"

The equipped monster gains 2000 ATK, also if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing damage to the opponent. If this card is sent to the GY or Banished: Special Summon up to 2 "Almagician Eternal" monsters with different names from your Extra Deck, ignoring their Summoning conditions, but return them to the Extra Deck during your next End Phase. You can only control 1 "Almagician Firebolt Rider."

2-CARD COMBO DEMONSTRATION FOR ALMAGICIAN
Of course, I should demonstrate for you guys as to how the 2-card combo goes for this deck. There are different ways this deck can be played, but for this combo I'm gonna show you guys the most basic 2-card combo that's standard for Almagicians.

Demonstration Replay (basically a tl;dr version of the combo): https://www.duelingbook.com/replay?id=37528-43170788

To do this, you'll need:
-Almagician Savior OR Almagician Motherly Guidance (to bring out Savior from deck)
-Almagician Academy

First, we want to activate our field spell, Almagician Academy. We'll use this to search for Almagician Expert.

Next, you want to summon out Almagician Savior. This will be your main starter for this deck. Then, activate his on-summon effect. What you search will depend on the other cards you have in your hand.
-If you have Almagician Counter - Protego already, OR your opponent declares no hand traps: Search Almagician Charm - Accio.
-If you already have Accio in your hand, but no Protego in hand: Search Almagician Counter - Protego.
-If you already have both in your hand: Extend your combo by searching for any of the other Almagicians OR Almagician Sword of Gryffindor.

After that, we want to special summon Almagician Expert via its own effect, triggering its on-summon effect to set a copy of Almagician Counter - Protego from our Deck.

Next, we want to activate Almagician Charm - Accio. With this we want to go for the Synchro plays, so we'll search for the deck's tuner monster Almagician Malfoy. After that, we'll banish it to activate its second effect, revealing 3 cards and getting the opponent to choose one to add to our hand.

For this instance, I've revealed Weasley, Luna and Sword of Gryffindor. It doesn't really matter which card they add to our hand, as any LV4 monster we get on the field will do. For this example, I've assumed that they've added Almagician Weasley to our hand.

Next, we'll special summon Weasley via its own effect. At this timing, if you have Almagician Dobby in your hand already, you can use its effect to special summon Dobby to the field. For this instance we'll assume that Dobby is not in our hand.

After that, you want to link off the three Almagicians on the field into Almagician Eternal - Ravenclaw, and then we're going to activate Ravenclaw, Savior and Weasley's effects in the same chain. Weasley's effect will summon back Expert, Savior will let you draw 1, and then Ravenclaw will summon back Savior to one of her zones.

Next, we want to special summon Almagician Malfoy, activating its effect to summon back Weasley onto the field.

We'll then tune Weasley with Malfoy to Synchro Summon Almagician Eternal - Slytherin, activating its effect to snipe 1 card from the opponent's hand to the GY. We'll then overlay Savior and Expert and Xyz Summon Almagician Eternal - Hufflepuff.

End result: 1 Twin Twisters on legs (Ravenclaw), 1 omni-negate (Protego), 1 spell negate (Hufflepuff) and 1 non-Spellcaster monster negate (Slytherin) with 1 card in hand.

And that's the 2-card combo! Let me know what you guys think.

And here's a new support card for Almagicians, enjoy!

Almagician Eternal - McGonagall (アルマジシャン・守護神・ミネルバ/아르매지션 수호신 미네르바) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3500104
2 Level 8 Spellcaster monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using 1 Rank 4 Spellcaster Xyz monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) This card's name is treated as "Almagician Eternal - Gryffindor" while on the field, in your GY or banished face-up. Spellcaster monsters you control cannot be used as material for the Summon of a monster from the Extra Deck, except for the Summon of "Almagician" monsters. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a Trap card or effect (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card, then you can Special Summon 1 "Almagician Eternal" monster from your GY. When this card leaves the field: Special Summon 1 "Almagician" monster from your Extra Deck, except "Almagician Eternal - McGonagall," ignoring its Summoning conditions.

I mean, props to you for making all of these, but I'm personally not going to read or play against/with these cards even if I was interested.

Having to squint and scroll the effect box to do so does not make for a fun time. The most recent card you added is just around 40 words less than `Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic`, which is somehow more readable due to having them split between two text boxes. It's just not my definition of fun, but you do you though.

And here's yet another support card for Almagicians. Enjoy!

Almagician Time Turner (アルマジシャン・時間振り子/아르매지션 시간 진자) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3501810
You can only activate 1 "Almagician Time Turner" per turn. After you activate this card, for the rest of this turn, you cannot Summon monsters, except "Almagician" or Spellcaster monsters. Select and activate 1 of the following effects:
● Banish 1 "Almagician" Spell/Trap card from your Deck, except "Almagician Time Turner," and if you do, Set 1 card with the same name directly from your Deck.
● When a card or effect is activated that would send a face-up "Almagician" monster(s) you control to the GY: Banish 3 cards from the top of your Deck face-down; negate the activation, and if you do, shuffle that card back into the Deck, then draw 1 card.
● At the end of your Battle Phase, if all monsters you control are "Almagician" monsters (min. 1): Send this card to the GY, also, immediately after this effect resolves, skip to the start of the Battle Phase of your next turn. If you do, you cannot activate "Almagician Time Turner" until the end of that turn.

Dumbledore Soul Release FTK Deck Profile

So I've been tinkering around with Almagicians recently and realized that Dumbledore's alternative win condition may be a bit easier to achieve than what I had anticipated. Featuring Soul Release, here's the Dumbledore Soul Release FTK deck profile. Enjoy!

This deck abandons the additional extra deck utility and combat-based strategy to focus on one thing and one thing only - to deliver the Dumbledore + Soul Release FTK combo in a single turn. Because I anticipated that there will be a lot of times where this deck will be forced to go second, I've maindecked the go-second cards such as Ash Blossom, Crucio and Super Polymerization into the deck so that this deck can still function perfectly fine going second.

Does it MLG? HELL YEAH IT DOES! Here's the replay for proof, enjoy. https://www.duelingbook.com/replay?id=37528-43202230

Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; attach it to this card as Xyz Material, and if you do, until your opponent's next End Phase, this card's name becomes that monster's name, also it gains its effects. So for quite a long time this deck has been running Super Poly's in the main deck. The problem with Super Poly, however, is that it's not as easily searchable. I've decided to make the impossibility a possibility, with this support card. Enjoy.

Almagician Potions Class (アルマジシャン・ポーション醸造/아르매지션 물약 양조) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3505994
(This card is always treated as a "Fusion" card.)
Fusion Summon 1 "Almagician," Spellcaster or Dragon monster from your Extra Deck, by using monsters from your hand or either field as materials, including at least 1 "Almagician" monster. If your opponent controls more monsters than you do, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's activation. If your opponent controls a monster(s) whose original Type is non-Spellcaster, you can also banish monsters from your opponent's GY as materials. You can only activate 1 "Almagician Potions Class" per turn. If your opponent controls more cards than you do, while this card is in your GY: You can banish this card and 1 "Almagician" monster from your GY; draw cards equal to the surplus.

EDIT: Here's another Fusion monster to follow up with the archetype, enjoy!

Almagician Mystical - Ironbelly (アルマジシャン・神秘魂・アイロンベリー/아르매지션 신비혼 아이런벨리) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3506231
2+ monsters with different names, including an "Almagician" monster
Must be Fusion Summoned. When this card is Fusion Summoned: You can target up to 3 "Almagician" cards in your GY; add them to your hand. This card's ATK becomes equal to the total Level/Rank/Link Rating of the Fusion materials used to Fusion Summon this card x 400. Cards cannot be added from the Main Deck to your opponent's hand except by drawing them. You cannot Summon monsters, except "Almagician" monsters. If this card is destroyed or banished: Special Summon up to 2 "Almagician" monsters with different names from your Deck.

As an effort to encourage hybrid builds of Almagician decks, I've decided to make another support card. Enjoy!

Almagician Mystical - Buckbeak (アルマジシャン・神秘魂・ヒポグリフ/아르매지션 신비혼 히포그리프) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3506766
2 monsters, including a Spellcaster monster
You can activate "Almagician Counter - Protego" from your hand even while you control a monster that is not an "Almagician" monster. If this card is Link Summoned: You can target 1 "Almagician" monster in your GY; equip it to this card. Gains ATK equal to the original ATK of the monster equipped to this card. While this card is co-linked with an "Almagician" monster, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to the effects of "Almagician" monsters you control. If this card is sent to the GY or Banished: You can banish 2 other "Almagician" cards in your GY; Special Summon this card, and if you do, equip 1 monster from either GY to this card. You can only use this effect of "Almagician Mystical - Buckbeak" once per turn.

And introducing the evil side of Almagicians, the Des-Almagicians!

You can only use this effect of "Des-Almagician Amateurs" once per turn. An "Almagician" monster that is Summoned from the Extra Deck using this card as material gains the following effect:

Your opponent's cards that are banished or in the GY cannot be added to your opponent's hand or shuffled into the Deck. If this card is Special Summoned: Look at your opponent's hand, then if there is a Spell card among those cards, as this effect's resolution, you can follow that card's text as if you had used it yourself, otherwise you take 1000 damage. Almagician Absolute Resolve (アルマジシャン・絶対決意/아르매지션 절대 결의) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3537063
You can only activate 1 "Almagician Absolute Resolve" per turn. Activate 1 of the following effects:
● If there is a card in the Pendulum Zone: Add 1 "Des-Almagician" Pendulum Monster or 1 "Almagician Curse" Spell card from your Deck to your hand, also for the rest of this turn, "Des-Almagician" cards in your Pendulum Zones cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effects.
● If only your opponent controls a monster(s): Pay half your LP; Special Summon a number of "Almagician" monsters from your hand, Deck, GY, or among your banished cards, equal to the surplus, and if you do, negate the effects of all monsters your opponent controls whose original Types are non-Spellcaster. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effect's activation.

Almagician Doom Penalty (アルマジシャン・終言宣告/아르매지션 종언 선고) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3535518
You can only activate 1 "Almagician Doom Penalty" per turn. Activate 1 of the following effects:
● Reveal 2 "Des-Almagician" monsters with different names from your Deck, your opponent randomly picks 1 of them for you to place in your Pendulum Zone or Special Summon (your choice), and you add the other card to your Extra Deck face-up.
● Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the GY; this turn, DARK Spellcaster monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent's activated monster effects, also all monsters your opponent controls whose original Type are non-Spellcaster must attack, if able.
● Send 1 "Des-Almagician" monster that is face-up in your Extra Deck to the GY, then target 1 monster your opponent controls that can be Normal Summoned/Set; send it to the GY or take control of it until the End Phase, but its effects are negated.
You can banish this card and 1 "Almagician" monster from your GY; add 1 "Almagician Curse" Spell card from your Deck to your hand.

Enjoy! Let me know what you guys think of these.

Almost forgot to make this support card for Des-Almagicians. Enjoy.

Almagician Horcrux Immortality (アルマジシャン・不滅の注文/아르매지션 불멸의 주문) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3537681
If you control no cards in your Pendulum Zones: Shuffle all "Des-Almagician" Pendulum Monsters from your face-up Extra Deck and GY to your Deck (min. 3), and if you do, place 2 "Des-Almagician" Pendulum Monsters with different names from your Deck in your Pendulum Zones, then draw 1 card, also for the rest of this turn, any damage your opponent would take is halved. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck the turn you activate this effect, except "Almagician" monsters. (Quick Effect) You can Banish this card from your GY; this turn, DARK Spellcaster monsters you control cannot be Tributed, or be destroyed by battle or card effects. You can only use each effect of "Almagician Horcrux Immortality" once per turn.

And another support card to add to Almagicians. Enjoy!

Des-Almagicians Deck Profile (October 2022 TCG Format)

So you guys are probably wondering what the deck profile for the Des-Almagicians is. Well, after some trial and error, after several test duels against others, I can FINALLY unveil the deck profile for my Des-Almagicians.

You thought Almagician monsters only consisted of (mostly) LIGHT Spellcaster monsters in the main deck? Well, let me show you guys the NEW way of playing Almagicians, with Pendulums!

Deck Link (for those of you who wish to try out the deck): https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=11758477

EXTRA DECK (15)
Almagician Eternal - Gryffindor
Almagician Mystical - Basilisk
Almagician Mystical - Ironbelly
Des-Almagician Eternal - Grindelwald
Almagician Eternal - Slytherin
Almagician Eternal - Snape
Almagician Mystical - Horntail
Almagician Eternal - Hufflepuff
Almagician Eternal - McGonagall
Des-Almagician Eternal - Dementor
Almagician Eternal - Dumbledore
Almagician Eternal - Ravenclaw
Almagician Eternal - Voldemort
Des-Almagician Bellatrix
Des-Almagician Fenrir

SIDE DECK (15)
2x Denko Sekka
3x The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode
2x Almagician Curse - Crucio
2x Cosmic Cyclone
2x Dark Ruler No More
2x Wavering Eyes
2x Evenly Matched

This deck is the embodiment of evil in the Harry Potter lore - as the main deck monsters are Pendulum monsters, you can use them to recur resources while building up your end board. With Grindelwald, you can Raigeki your opponent's board and go for the OTK strats, while with Dementor, you can Harpie's Feather Duster your opponent's board and prevent your opponent from coming up with potential disruptions during the Battle Phase. And of course, this deck is capable of Link Summoning the most feared wizard of all time - Voldemort.

Having said that, this deck is not without its weaknesses. As the Pendulum variant is much more reliant on spell cards, it is susceptible to the usual Pendulum counters such as Anti-Spell Fragrance or Naturia Beast. However, if you do go first with Des-Almagicians, you can set up the board first before your opponent has a chance to lock you out of the pendulum summoning mechanics.

Does it MLG? Of course it does! Yuma Tsukumo ain't got nothing against the might of the Death Eaters! Enjoy! https://www.duelingbook.com/replay?id=37528-43810080

Almagician Lavender (アルマジシャン・ブロニウス/아르매지션 브로니우스) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3548341
When a card or effect is activated that would inflict damage to you (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) and 1 "Almagician" monster from your Deck, and if you do, reduce the effect damage you would take by that monster's original ATK, also for the rest of this turn, neither player can activate cards or effects that would inflict damage to a player. If this card is Summoned: You can discard 1 "Almagician" card from your hand; draw 2 cards, then, if any of those cards are "Almagician" monsters, you can Special Summon them. (Quick Effect) You can banish this card from your hand, field or GY; this turn, if you would take battle damage, or lose LP due to a card effect, you gain that much LP instead. You can only use each effect of "Almagician Lavender" once per turn.

Up to this point I've given up on taking anything he makes seriously, he's completely delusional about "muh meta decks" and it's not willing to listen to feedback. If he likes to play "muh meta decks" so much why doesn't he just go and play ranked where wins actually matter?... oh wait, I know the answer, it's because he can't bring his OP customs there, that's why, you have to play real decks with real cards that can be countered and lose. He's so insecure and petty about losing, he just became yet another Aromagirl clone by making everything have protection and floodgate effects. Claims customs have become toxic yet he's also part of the problem.

Two new support cards for Almagicians. These are inspired by the signature spell that Harry Potter himself uses, as well as the Priori Incantatem that occurs in the battle between Harry Potter and Voldemort. Enjoy.

Almagician Charm - Expelliarmus (アルマジシャン・善の魔法 - エクスペリアルムス/아르매지션 선의 마법 - 엑스펠리아르무스) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3556267
You can only activate 1 "Almagician Charm - Expelliarmus" per turn. After you activate this card, for the rest of the Duel, you cannot Summon monsters, except "Almagician" monsters. Activate 1 of the following effects:
● If you control 3 or more "Almagician" monsters with different names: Add 1 random card from your opponent's hand to your hand, then, if the added card was a Spell card, you can: Immediately after this chain resolves, activate the Spell card that was added to your hand by this effect.
● When a Spell card or effect is activated while you control a face-up "Almagician" monster: Negate the activation, and if you do, set it to your side of the field.
Once per turn, during your Draw Phase, if this card is in your GY or Banished, instead of conducting your normal draw: You can add this card and 1 "Almagician" monster that is Banished or in the GY to your hand, but you cannot Normal Summon/Set monsters this turn.

Almagician Reversed Destiny (アルマジシャン・運命の逆転/아르매지션 운명의 역전) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3556278
If 2 or more Spell cards are on the field (min. 1 on each side), or if 2 or more Spell cards are activated in the same chain, while you control a face-up "Almagician" monster: Both players draw 1 card and reveal it, then each player resolves the following effects, depending on the card drawn by this effect:
● "Almagician" or Spellcaster Monster: Special Summon it to your side of the field, and if you do, gain LP equal to that monster's original ATK.
● Non-Spellcaster Monster: Banish it face-down, then take damage equal to that monster's original ATK.
● Spell: Immediately after this chain resolves, you can activate that Spell card, and if you do, you do not have to pay LP or send cards from your hand, Deck or Extra Deck to activate that Spell card.
● Trap: Negate the effects of all Spell cards you control that are in the same chain, and if you do, take 500 damage per Spell card that were negated in the same chain by this effect.
You can only activate 1 "Almagician Reversed Destiny" per turn.

You can only activate 1 "Almagician Reversed Destiny" per turn.[/quote:s1nhx1q7]

And another support card for Almagicians. Enjoy!

Des-Almagician Scabior (デス・アルマジシャン・スキャビア/데스 아르매지션 스캐비어) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3556417
Pendulum Effect:
You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except Spellcaster and Dragon monsters. This effect cannot be negated. Negate the effects of cards your opponent controls that would Special Summon monsters that are banished or in their GY.

Monster Effect:
3 Spellcaster monsters
If you can Pendulum Summon Level 4, you can Pendulum Summon this face-up card from your Extra Deck. When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can Special Summon 2 "Des-Almagician" monsters with different names from your Deck, but their effects are negated. While this card has an "Almagician" monster attached to it as material, negate any card effect that would move a card in your opponent's GY, except "Almagician" cards, to a different place. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; take control of it until the End Phase. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed or banished, or sent to the GY by a card effect: You can place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

And new support cards for Almagicians, inspired by the three Deathly Hallows. Enjoy!

Almagician Invisibility Cloak (アルマジシャン・透明のマント/아르매지션 투명의 망토) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3556529
Equip only to an "Almagician" or Spellcaster monster. The equipped monster cannot be targeted, destroyed or banished by your opponent's card effects, also if it would be destroyed by battle, you can send this face-up card to the GY instead. If the equipped monster is used as material for the Xyz Summon of an "Almagician Eternal" monster, you can treat it as 2 monsters. If the equipped monster is used as material for the Xyz Summon of an "Almagician Eternal" monster: Attach this card to the Summoned monster as material. During your Draw Phase, if this card is in your GY, instead of conducting your normal draw: You can add this card to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Almagician Invisibility Cloak" per turn.

Almagician Stone of Life (アルマジシャン・蘇生の石/아르매지션 소생의 돌) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3556501
Target 1 "Almagician" or Spellcaster monster in your GY that can be Normal Summoned/Set; Special Summon it, but its effects are negated, also banish it face-down during the End Phase. You can Banish this card from your GY; add 1 "Almagician" Spell card or "Soul Release" from your Deck or GY to your hand, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot Special Summon monsters from your Extra Deck, except "Almagician" monsters. You can only use each effect of "Almagician Stone of Life" once per turn.

Almagician Elder Wand (アルマジシャン・絶対全能の魔法/아르매지션 절대전능의 마술) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3556518
When this card is activated: You can Special Summon 1 "Almagician" monster from your Deck, or, if you control an "Almagician" monster, you can add 1 "Almagician" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand instead. The activation and effects of "Almagician" Spell/Trap cards you control cannot be negated, except by the effects of "Almagician" cards your opponent controls. Once per turn: You can target 1 "Almagician" Spell/Trap in your GY; Set that target, also it can be activated this turn. During your End Phase: You can target 1 "Almagician" Spell card in your GY; shuffle it into the Deck, then draw 1 card. You can only use each effect of "Almagician Elder Wand" once per turn.

Almagician Deathly Hallows (アルマジシャン・死の聖物/아르매지션 죽음의 성물) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3556537
Discard 1 "Almagician" monster; add up to 2 "Almagician" Spell cards with different names from your Deck to your hand. You can Banish this card from your GY; Banish "Almagician Elder Wand," "Almagician Stone of Life" and "Almagician Invisibility Cloak" from your hand, Deck or GY, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Almagician Eternal - Dumbledore" from your Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions, then you can send up to 3 "Almagician Eternal" monsters with different names from your Extra Deck to the GY. You can only use each effect of "Almagician Deathly Hallows" once per turn.

The Hog Rider card is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 5). He is a very fast building-targeting, melee troop with moderately high hitpoints and damage. He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy.
Strategy
His fast move speed can boost forward mini tanks like an Ice Golem in a push. At the same time, he can also function as a tank for lower hitpoint troops such as Goblins as he still has a fair amount of health. Most cheap swarms complement the Hog Rider well, as they are nearly as fast as him and usually force more than one card out of the opponent's hand. The Hog Rider struggles with swarms, as they can damage him down and defeat him quickly while obstructing his path. Barbarians in particular can fully counter him without very strict timing on the defender's part, though be wary of spells. A Hunter can kill the Hog Rider in 2 hits if placed right on top of it. However, if you place something in front of the Hog Rider, the Hunter's splash will damage the Hog Rider and hit the card in front of it more. The Hog Rider in conjunction with the Freeze can surprise the opponent and allow the Hog Rider to deal much more damage than anticipated, especially if the opponent's go-to counter is a swarm, or swarms are their only effective counter to him. Skeletons and Bats will immediately be defeated by the spell, while Spear Goblins, Goblins, and Minions will be at low enough health to be defeated by a follow up Zap or Giant Snowball. However, this strategy isn't very effective against buildings as the Hog Rider will take a while to destroy the building, giving the opponent ample time to articulate another counter. Against non-swarm troops, it can deal a lot of damage during the freeze time, but this can allow the opponent to set up a massive counterpush. For this reason, players should either only go for a Hog Rider + Freeze when they have other units backing it up from a counterattack, or if the match is about to end and they need to deal as much damage as possible. It is not a good idea to send in a Hog Rider simply to destroy a building, especially if it is the only building targeting unit available, as defeating Crown Towers becomes substantially more difficult. Spells or simply waiting out the lifetime of the building are more effective. The exception to this is an Elixir Collector placed in front of the King's Tower. If a Hog Rider placed at the bridge, he can destroy the Collector for a positive Elixir trade, though the damage from both Princess Towers will usually mean he does not survive to deal any damage to them. However, if the opponent sends in defending troops, it can be an opportunity to gain spell damage value. In a deck with several low-cost cards, it might be worth it to simply send the Hog Rider against one building. These decks shuffle their card rotation quick enough, that they will arrive to their next Hog Rider before the next building arrives in the opponent's card rotation. Long-ranged troops like Musketeer and Flying Machine can snipe those buildings, preserving some of the Hog Rider's health, possibly allowing it to get some Tower damage. When there are buildings placed in the middle to counter the Hog Rider, understanding the placement of the Hog Rider and the type of building placed can help the Hog Rider to bypass certain buildings. Passive buildings such as spawners and Elixir Collector have a larger hitbox than defensive buildings; which means that if a passive building was placed 3 tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent's side, then it is impossible for the Hog Rider to bypass that placement as the Hog Rider will get pulled to that building. Defensive buildings have a smaller hitbox than a passive building, which means if that if a defensive building was placed three tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent's side, a Hog Rider placed at the very left or right side of the Arena may be able to bypass it due to its smaller hitbox. If the player has a building already placed down in the center of the arena, and the opponent tries to bypass it with a Hog Rider at the edge of the arena, they can use certain air troops to push the Hog Rider towards the building as it jumps over the river, effectively denying the bypass attempt. They must be already hovering over the correct placement, as very quick reflexes are required to correctly perform this technique. For Bats, Skeleton Dragons, and Minion Horde, they should be placed right in front of the Hog Rider as soon as it is deployed.
For Minions, Skeleton Barrel, Mega Minion, Flying Machine, Electro Dragon, Baby Dragon, Inferno Dragon, Balloon, and Lava Hound, stagger the above placement one tile to the right if the Hog Rider is placed on the left side of the arena, and vice versa. They can also use ground troops to achieve the same result. Something like an Ice Golem deployed at the Hog Rider’s landing spot will obstruct his path and force him to go around the unit, which causes him to be closer to the building instead of the Crown Tower. The Hog Rider can kite Very Fast non-building targeting troops due to his own Very Fast speed and building only targeting if he is placed on the fourth tile from the bridge, slightly into the opposite lane. He can also stall grounded units when placed right at the bridge. He will pull them towards him while deploying, and then be untargetable by them when he jumps over the bridge. After landing, he will pull them back. This can be useful when the player needs to deal damage in the same lane they are defending. It will also help separate troops behind a tank in a large push. A Tornado placed on the second tile front of the player's King's Tower and staggered two tiles towards the Princess Tower will activate it without any damage dealt to the Princess Tower, helping them in defending future pushes. This can also be a method of mitigating all damage dealt to a Princess Tower, but doing this more than three times may result in the King's Tower's health being low enough to be targeted directly, opening up the possible threat of a back door three crown. A better alternative is to pull the Hog away from the Princess Tower into the attacking range of all three Crown Towers, which will negate all damage as long as none of them are already distracted
A very powerful combo is the Hog Rider, the Musketeer, and the Valkyrie, typically referred to as the Trifecta. The Musketeer will defend against most troops, while the Valkyrie can protect her and the Hog Rider from swarms or high damage units. The Hog Rider is used to deal damage to the tower. This can be effectively countered by Lightning, one-shotting the Musketeer and severely damaging both the Valkyrie and Hog Rider. The Minion Horde is also effective, but the enemy can Zap them and the Musketeer will one-shot them all. Even if the Musketeer is defeated, the Hog Rider and Valkyrie will have enough time to severely damage the Tower. The Hog Rider should be placed behind the Valkyrie to give it a boost so that it stays in front of the Hog Rider, protecting it. A Hog Rider combined with a Goblin Barrel can be awkward for the opponent to defend against. Timing it so that the Hog Rider is tanking the tower shots for the Goblins is the most effective way to deal damage. However, a Barbarian Barrel can shut this down with minimal Tower damage for a positive Elixir trade, as long as the Goblin Barrel was placed directly on the Tower.
Pairing the Hog Rider with the Balloon can deal devastating damage. If executed properly, the Hog Rider will act as a tank while the Balloon threatens to deal massive damage. The Hog Rider can also destroy any buildings attempting to slow down the combo. However, this combo is very vulnerable to swarms and anti-air cards as neither of the troops target anything but buildings. Additionally, they are easy to separate, due to the disparity in move speeds. Alternatively, the Hog Rider and the Balloon can be played in different lanes to spread the opponent's defenses thin. However, a building or Tornado can bring them back together for an easier defense. The Hog Rider can be paired with the Lumberjack as both a swarm bait and damage combo. It is a very fast combo with an extremely high damage output potential, so the enemy will likely try to counter it with a swarm. If this happens, use a spell like Arrows to render the opponent defenseless. If they manage to defeat the Lumberjack, the dropped Rage will make the Hog Rider even more dangerous than it normally is. A fast and deadly combination is the Hog Rider and Mini P.E.K.K.A. combo. Both units are fast but the Mini P.E.K.K.A. does much more damage and does not attack only buildings so the Mini P.E.K.K.A. can deal with troops like the Executioner and Musketeer. However, this combo can be defeated with swarms like Skeleton Army, which will defeat both of them since neither of them can deal area damage. They are also unable to target air troops, so the Minion Horde can stop this easily. A risky play is to deploy the Hog Rider at the bridge as soon as the match starts. If the opponent does not react fast enough, the Hog Rider will deal a significant amount of damage to the Princess Tower. This can also allow the player to quickly scout the opponent's deck if they happen to react to him fast enough.

You take what’s currently winning and play it all because you want to win. Nothing wrong with that but when you can’t accept the fact you have to lose and make customs that give you an easy win it’s at this point it’s a problem.

Because they would need both the handtraps (no your deck doesn't lose to those you mentioned) to stop your deck (assuming they exist, because you don't like losing to the generic blowouts going second like DRNM, Evenly, etc.) and then have enough resources left to achieve THEIR game plan. So unless they care to engage in an arms race, they'll find a better opponent, leaving you with the people who will arms race you, which you say you hate...

Welcome to Yugioh, where the objective is to make sure your opponent cannot play Yugioh.

That statement has always been true, still is, and always will be true. Don't believe me? Just look at decks like Ishizu Tear, Mystic Mine, Trickstar, PePe, Thunder Dragons, etc. 'cause they ALL made sure that the opponent cannot play Yugioh.

And a new support card for Almagicians. In the past, Des-Almagicians had to rely on Almagician cards in order to open up their Pendulum combos. Well, thanks to this field spell, NOT ANYMORE! Enjoy!

Almagician Hangleton (アルマジシャン・ドレッドポリス/아르매지션 드레드폴리스) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3558605
When this card is activated: You can place 1 "Des-Almagician" monster from your Deck in your Pendulum Zone. You can Link Summon "Des-Almagician" monsters from your Extra Deck using 1 less material, also you can destroy monsters your opponent controls to activate the effects of "Des-Almagician" cards in your Pendulum Zones. All monsters on the field and in the GYs become DARK Spellcaster. Once per turn, if you Pendulum Summon an "Almagician" monster: You can target 1 of those monsters; Special Summon 1 "Des-Almagician" monster from your Deck, whose ATK is less than or equal to the targeted monster. During the End Phase: Special Summon as many "Des-Almagician Skeleton Tokens" (Spellcaster/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1500/DEF 1500) as possible to the turn player's field in Attack Position, up to the number of cards destroyed while this card was face-up.

"My deck is fair because it loses to handtraps" spoiler: it doesn't because you make a bunch of broken support so you can play through or negate them.
Also you're not taking into account that you can also play counters to those cards as well like Called by the Grave or Gamma.

And having handtraps and turnskip cards as the only means to counter is not a justification for broken shit, the banlist exist for a reason.

Almagician Apocalypse (アルマジシャン・アポカリプス/아르매지션 아포칼립스) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3559919
You can only activate 1 "Almagician Apocalypse" per turn. Activate 1 of the following effects:
● Banish 4 "Almagician" Spell cards with different names from your GY; banish all Spell/Trap cards your opponent controls and in their GY face-down.
● Banish 4 "Des-Almagician" monsters from your face-up Extra Deck or GY; banish all monsters your opponent controls and in their GY face-down, except "Almagician" and Spellcaster monsters.
● Banish 1 "Almagician Eternal" or "Almagician Mystical" monster from your field, Extra Deck or GY, and declare 1 card name; if that card is in your opponent's hand or field, they must banish all copies of it, face-down, also neither player can Summon monsters, or activate cards or effects, with the same name as the declared card for the rest of the Duel.
● Special Summon as many "Almagician Eternal" and "Almagician Mystical" monsters from your Extra Deck, GY or among your banished cards, that were Summoned during the Duel, ignoring their Summoning conditions, but return them to the Extra Deck during your 2nd End Phase after activation of this card.
If you only control "Almagician" monsters, you can activate this card from your hand.

As requested by others in the DB main page, a new support card for Almagicians. Enjoy!

Almagician Hagrid (アルマジシャン・ハグリッド/아르매지션 해그리드) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3560122
If you control no monsters, or if you only control "Almagician" or Spellcaster monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only Special Summon "Almagician Hagrid" once per turn this way. You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Almagician" monster from your Deck, except "Almagician Hagrid." You can banish this card and 1 "Almagician" Spell card from your GY; Special Summon 1 "Almagician Eternal" monster from your Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions, but return it to the Extra Deck when it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Almagician Hagrid" once per turn.

Three more support cards for Almagicians. Enjoy!

Almagician Eternal - Trelawney (アルマジシャン・守護神・シベリウス/아르매지션 수호신 시벨리우스) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3560717
2 Spellcaster monsters, except Tokens
You can also Link Summon this card by using 1 LIGHT "Almagician" monster you control as material. This card's name is treated as "Almagician Eternal - Ravenclaw" while on the field, in the GY, or banished. When this card is Link Summoned: You can excavate the top 2 cards of your Deck, then if any of those cards are "Almagician" monsters, you can Special Summon them, also shuffle the rest back into your Deck. You can send the top 4 cards of your Deck to the GY; look at the top 4 cards of your opponent's Deck, and if you do, place them on top of their Deck in any order, but you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except "Almagician" monsters. You can only use each effect of "Almagician Eternal - Trelawney" once per turn.

Almagician Eternal - Scamander (アルマジシャン・守護神・ニュート/아르매지션 수호신 뉴트) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3560710
3 Level 5 Spellcaster monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using 1 "Almagician Eternal - Hufflepuff" you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) This card's name is treated as "Almagician Eternal - Hufflepuff" while on the field, in the GY, or banished. While only you control an "Almagician" monster, your opponent can only activate 1 Spell or Trap card per turn. When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can target up to 2 monsters in your opponent's GY; equip it to this card. Gains ATK equal to half total ATK of monsters equipped to this card. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; equip it to this card. If this card would be destroyed or banished, you can send 1 monster equipped to this card to the GY instead. If this Xyz Summoned card is destroyed: Special Summon 1 "Almagician Eternal" monster from your Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions.

Window to the Past (過去の正門/과거의 정문) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=3560692
(This card is always treated as an "Almagician" card.)
If you control an "Almagician Eternal" monster, "Almagician Majestic Potter" or "Almagician Savior": Negate the effects of all Spell and Trap cards your opponent controls, also look at your opponent's Extra Deck, then Special Summon 1 of those monsters to your field, ignoring its Summoning conditions, but it is treated as a Spellcaster monster, also it cannot attack your opponent directly, and it is returned to the Extra Deck when it leaves the field. You can only activate 1 "Window to the Past" per turn. For the rest of this turn, you cannot Special Summon monsters, except Spellcaster and Dragon monsters. If a face-up "Almagician" monster(s) you control would be destroyed, banished, or sent to the GY by a card effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead.

SIDE DECK OPTIONS FOR ALMAGICIAN
Hey guys, so I figured I'd point out a couple key cards that you can use in the side deck if you're playing Almagicians. I've designed these cards with the modern format in mind, as I wanted to give my archetype cards that are attuned to better deal with the modern decks of today.

Without further ado, let's begin. First off, we have Wormtail.

This monster, depending on the variant you're playing (whether it be pure Almagicians, Adventurer Almagicians, Dumbledore FTK or Des-Almagicians), can work either in the main deck or in the side deck. It's the archetypal Kaiju that can be summoned to your opponent's field by tributing 1 or 2 monsters. The BEST part is, this monster locks the controller into summoning Almagician monsters only, meaning unless your opponent is playing Almagicians as well, they'll be locked out of special summons while Wormtail is on the field.

So why design Wormtail like a Kaiju? In the original Harry Potter series, Wormtail (a.k.a. Peter Pettigrew) betrayed his friends in favor of the Death Eaters, and as such, to theme it correctly, I wanted to give it the effect that summons it to the opponent's field instead. Such a traitorous monster, isn't he?

This monster is a great way to take out 1-2 key boss monsters the opponent controls and lock out the opponent from being able to Nibiru you during your turn. This side deck thrives against decks such as Ishizu Tear or Spright, which will allow you to eliminate unwanted boss monsters that can potentially disrupt your combo.

Next up is Avada Kedavra, the Killing Curse.

The very curse that murdered scores of wizards and witches, this card allows you to banish any 1 monster your opponent controls at the cost of 1 card from your hand, and until the End Phase of the next turn, neither player can use that monster. A surefire way to either get rid of a starter monster OR a problematic boss monster that can be targeted.

While it is pretty slow against modern decks such as Ishizu Tear, I find that this works best in a control format that focuses on 1-2 boss monsters such as Eldlich.

Next up, Harry's signature spell, the Disarming Spell, Expelliarmus.

This spell has two effects - one that allows you to steal a random card from the opponent's hand if you control 3+ Almagician monsters with different names, and an effect that allows you to negate any spell your opponent activates and set it to your side of the field, a perfect disarmament card to use against a deck that heavily relies on spell cards.

This card thrives best not only against decks that heavily rely on Spell cards, such as Sky Strikers and Exodia decks (Yes, Exodia players, I'm looking at you!), it also allows you to break mirror matches, giving you that much better of a chance to win mirror match games.

Next, a card designed on the theme of the Hogwarts battle, Almagician Apocalypse.

Looks overwhelming, isn't it? It uses GY resources to banish all Spell/Traps or monsters your opponent controls face-down, OR allows you to Prohibition any 1 card for the rest of the duel at the cost of 1 "Almagician Eternal" or "Almagician Mystical" monster you control. This is not only a perfect board-breaker card against backrow-heavy decks, it also works best to lock out the opponent from that one critical card they need to win the game, such as Mystic Mine for example.

While I wouldn't necessarily say that this card completely power-creeps Evenly Matched, as Evenly Matched doesn't require GY resources to activate, I would say rather, that the two cards complement each other.

Of course, we can't forget about the Prophesized Rivals card.

This card is an archetypal Destined Rivals, freezing all monster effects on the field for 1 turn and, if used during the opponent's turn, their monsters are forced to attack right on the spot. This is a great way to shut down combo decks if they heavily rely on monster effects on the field.

Last but not least, a card that serves as a memoir to Harry's good old times with Sirius and Harry's parents, Window to the Past.

This card allows you to steal any 1 monster from the opponent's Extra Deck to your field, allowing you to take away their one boss monster. In addition, if any Almagician monsters you control would be destroyed, banished or sent to the GY by a card effect, you can banish it from the GY instead to protect your monsters. This card is a perfect counter to decks such as Ishizu Tear or Spright, as well as any deck that relies on boss monsters from the extra deck.

Depending on the format, I'll be swapping these cards in/out to adjust my decks to the ever-changing formats. Let me know what you guys think - which of these side deck options would YOU be most likely to use if you were to play Almagicians?

ARCHETYPE SCHEDULED FOR DELETION

Honestly, I was hoping that my return to custom cards would've been a lot smoother than before. Unfortunately, I've been dealing with insults left to right whenever people saw me creating cards that are not "balanced" to their standards, and in addition, it's come to a point where it's ruining friendships as well.

Will I continue to play Yugioh in Advanced format? Maybe or maybe not, but given how people tell me to harm myself in ranked whenever I play Runick Mine, I don't know if this game would be a healthy hobby for me.

Admins may now lock this thread, thank you.
