And I am back again with another archetype, Xenomorphs! They're of course, inspired by the Aliens franchise. Enjoy!

Xenomorph Chestburster (XB・チェスト・バースター/XB 체스트 버스터) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=1485325
If you control another "Xenomorph" monster, other than "Xenomorph Chestburster": You can destroy 1 other monster you control or in your hand; Special Summon this card. If this card is Summoned: you can activate 1 of the following effects:
● Add 1 "Polymerization" or "Fusion" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
● Target 1 "Xenomorph" monster in your GY, except "Xenomorph Chestburster"; Special Summon it, but its effects are negated, also it cannot attack this turn.
If this card is sent to the GY for the Fusion Summon of a DARK Reptile monster: You can add 1 "Xenomorph" Spell card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Xenomorph Chestburster" once per turn.

Xenomorph Facehugger (XB・プライム・エーリアン/XB 프라임 에일리언) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=1485310
If this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "Xenomorph" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Xenomorph Facehugger" once per turn. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; equip this card to that target, OR: unequip this card and Special Summon it. While this card is equipped to a monster, take control of it, but its effects are negated. When this card leaves the field while equipped to a monster, destroy the equipped monster.

If you control another "Xenomorph" monster, other than "Xenomorph Warrior," you can Special Summon this card. You can only Special Summon "Xenomorph Warrior" once per turn this way. You can only use this effect of "Xenomorph Warrior" once per turn.

When this card is Fusion Summoned: you can target 1 "Xenomorph" monster in your GY; Special Summon it. This card can attack while it is in Defense Position. Must first be Fusion Summoned. Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. When this card is Fusion Summoned: it gains ATK equal to the total Level/Rank/Link Rating of the Fusion materials used to Fusion Summon this card x 200. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing damage. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a Spell/Trap card or effect (Quick Effect): You can Banish 2 "Xenomorph" cards from your GY; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. If this card is destroyed or Banished: Destroy all monsters your opponent controls.

Must first be Fusion Summoned. Cannot be destroyed by card effects. Non-Reptile monsters your opponent controls lose 600 ATK. When a "Xenomorph" monster you control attacks, that monster gains 600 ATK during damage calculation only. During each of your End Phases, your opponent takes 800 damage.

While this card has a "Xenomorph" monster as an Xyz Material, each player can only activate effects of non-Reptile monsters once per turn. Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; excavate the top 4 cards of your Deck, then add either 1 "Xenomorph" monster or "Polymerization" to your hand, also send the rest to the GY. Yeah, a lot of people were telling me that it's possible to make a deck that supposedly "is competitive and carries a unique, interesting gimmick at the same time," and to my knowledge, NONE of them actually tried to make a deck that can win duels AND be gimmicky at the same time.

So the beauty of this pure variant is that thanks to Facehugger's ability to equip to an opponent's monster, as well as Tribute to the Xenomorph that allows you to revive an opponent's monster to your side of the field, you can afford to go second if you want to. However, should you prefer to go first instead, you can still pull off an immense combo that'll be sure to lock down your opponent from being able to break through your defenses. So, in a way, this deck is extremely versatile at going either first or second.

Fusion Recycling Plant is my own personal tech considering I main 3 Poly's, as it allows me to search for Poly's faster should I not have the Hive of the Xenomorph in my hand already, and it's also a nice Set Rotation target as well.

I think Mystic Mine decks are pretty gimmicky since they stop the player who has more monsters on the field from using monsters, but they also win fairly consistently.

I was mentioning custom decks, NOT TCG decks.

Broken like your brain as always Mr. "Stop Having Fun" Guy. Much like that failure CM, you just want to keep playing with fire & get burn. It is just another Arkraider. You got the same every ED methods, "If this card is Summoned:...", one-sided floodgate & etc. This is lame! Not only are you still competing with Konami how to get your archetypes banned, but you are also fighting CM in the position of "same old same old Archetype custom card maker". You are a mirror reflection of CM.

uninteresting and unoriginal, i already made a xenomorph deck but tackled it by incorporating the "treated as" mechanic for naming conventions in a deck, not only did i pull from aliens itself, i also gave it its own unique identity and playstyle within the game which you, and most of the other slack-jawed custom card creators fail to do. Straight ripping a property into yugioh is not just boring and lazy, it persists the stereotypes of on other card creators.

Although I would like to said you maybe know how to make an archetype, but any proof of your "xenomorph" deck? Are they public? Any decklist? You can post it as a new thread instead of here. But be warned, I'm lurking in the shadows.

A lot of us Custom Card Maker doesn't really care much about winning the duel. We're mostly just care about the card itself.
We're more satisfied when others appreciate our cards, and seeing other people's ideas in their cards.
That's why a working gimmick is more important to us than deck competitiveness. An interesting deck is more fun to play with and play against than a meta clone or another VFD clone.
After all, this is a Custom Card Format. Winning a duel there feels nothing, especially with those Insta-Win cards. The duel itself is sometimes more important than winning.

However, if you find that the only way to have fun is to win, then there's nothing I can do to stop you. However I need to warn you that this kind of mentality isn't a good one for making cards.

You know, I was almost gonna take constructive criticisms into account, but after seeing how Rocket2 constantly attacks me by calling me a "mirror reflection of CM," I don't think I'm gonna be nerfing my cards anytime soon. The more people just outright rage at me, the more I feel inclined towards sticking with my winning decks.

At the VERY LEAST, people could just try giving this deck a chance. But no, they have to just automatically bash at me for calling it a clone of other decks and whatnot. Well, if that's how custom card community is going to bash those who just want to play customs the way they want to, I'll just let them rage more and more while I continue on my way. To me, winning duels is much more satisfying. Just ask players like Patrick Hoban or Jeff Jones. You think they got famous after losing duels? No. They get famous for winning duels.

As a famous man once said, "losers don't write history, winners do."

Said what you wanted, you sore loser. I don't expected any redemption or open-mind from you. Many archetypes (from custom to real printed) only take 2-5 cards to know whether they are a badly designed one or not. And don't bring in real yugioh winners to defend your broken custom cards. Your custom cards won't made history in real TCG. You want to win, then go out there and made a name for yourself like those heroes you worshipped. Your custom wins are nothing but an empty farts like CM.

Your first impression to Rocket2 is so bad for him that he seems to be no longer have trust it you. As harsh as his critic is, there's some right to it. However since you responded with anger and your response to others imply you won't be listening to critics, he no longer have the need to see your deck in more detail.

But tell me. What do you wish to gain from winning a Custom Card Duel? Do you get ratings? Do you get famous? Do you get to write history?

Me? I gain the satisfaction that I made a perfect deck that doesn't do insta-win effects while being able to rival against most meta decks in TCG. I don't make custom decks to gain loss records like other losers. I'm making custom decks so that I can have a fighting chance against tier 0 decks like Yata Lock, Dragon Rulers, PePe, True King Dinos, etc.

If this card is destroyed and/or Banished: you can target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; Special Summon it.

Xenomorph Pathogen (XB 黒い液体/XB 검은 액체) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=2178140
Banish 1 Level 4 "Xenomorph" monster from your GY; your opponent draws 2 cards and reveals them. These feedbacks are so terrible that you to think the deck need 2 more OP cards and are perfect in design.

I recommend balancing it by changing it's effect so that, upon targeting the opponent's monster, your opponent chooses whether to let you take control of it or let you search those 2 cards. That way, you have healthy interaction between you an the opponent while still maintaining such a powerful effect. If this card is destroyed or Banished: add 1 "Polymerization" or "Fusion" Spell card from your Deck or GY to your hand. "Add" should be capitalized since it's coming right after a colon.

That way, it promotes more healthy interaction and allows the opponent to try to be smart and pick the card they think would be the worst one for you. You can only use each effect of "Covenant of the Xenomorph" once per turn.

Also it should be "Xenomorph Warrior", where the comma comes after the quotation mark, not "Xenomorph Warrior," where the comma comes before the quotation mark. I recommend balancing it by changing it's effect so that, upon targeting the opponent's monster, your opponent chooses whether to let you take control of it or let you search those 2 cards. That way, you have healthy interaction between you an the opponent while still maintaining such a powerful effect. If this card is destroyed or Banished: add 1 "Polymerization" or "Fusion" Spell card from your Deck or GY to your hand. "Add" should be capitalized since it's coming right after a colon.

I strongly dislike effects that require you to reveal a certain number of cards from your hand/Deck and have the opponent "randomly" pick 1 for you. Effects like those give only the illusion of healthy interaction. It would be much better if the opponent simply got to pick 1 without it being random. That way, it promotes more healthy interaction and allows the opponent to try to be smart and pick the card they think would be the worst one for you. You can only use each effect of "Covenant of the Xenomorph" once per turn.

Eggmorphing of the Xenomorph (XB・形状の移動/XB 형상 이동) https://www.duelingbook.com/card?id=1486071
You can only activate 1 "Eggmorphing of the Xenomorph" per turn. Pay 1000 LP, then activate 1 of the following effects:
● Shuffle up to 2 "Polymerization" and/or "Fusion" Spell cards from your hand into the Deck, and if you do, add the same number of "Xenomorph" monsters from your Deck to the hand, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot Summon monsters, except Reptile monsters.

For the record, this archetype was created before 2021, just that I held off on posting the card list until now.

Also, about the immunities - I thought Thunder Dragon Colossus had its own immunity along with the Mistake effect. Yes, the Colossus is forbidden (nobody's denying that), BUT in the context of custom cards, does the banlist matter? I think not.

Also, I really have to question if balancing can realistically be done considering how the card list is already a done deal, not to mention the fact that everyone has their own standards of "balance," meaning one person's level of balance may not match with other people's levels of balance. I learned to get used to it. It's realistically impossible to enforce balance in the custom format - it's either you balance your own cards at the cost of becoming a loser in front of random custom players, OR you buff your custom cards only to be hated by others.

Honestly, this is why I don't bother joining custom card servers on Discord anymore. Everyone's living in their own fantasy world of balance standards that it's impossible to find a place where everyone can be happy.

While I do appreciate Christen for at least being civil about card balance, it does not excuse the fact that people begun the conversation by outright accusing me of being CrystalMusic's alt account when I'm actually not. And because of that fact, I won't be balancing my Xenomorph's anytime soon, not until I hear an apology from those who falsely accused me of such (which I doubt will be happening anytime soon).

A word of advice to those who decide to attack me instead of being civil about custom card balances: Stop being an elitist about your own set of standards. Feel free to work within your own standards if you truly wish, but don't aggressively enforce it against others by starting the conversation with a direct insult towards whoever made the cards. I was trying to say that I could've at least taken Christen's advice into consideration until Rocket2 showed up and showed me his true colors, giving me the impression that custom card reviewers only want others to bow down to their own standards.

I'll agree with you on one thing - custom cards could've been a much better place. But no, people like Rocket2 have to bust down the threads and ruin the fun for everyone else.

I don't need the advice of custom card reviewers any longer. If Rocket2's kind of attitude is what I'm gonna expect from custom card reviewers, I won't be taking their advice to heart.

I still don't know how "Trump supporter" is meant to be an insult. I myself would wear that label as a badge of honor or something.

Anyways, while there are some custom card reviewers out there that are hostile, they don't give every custom card reviewer a bad reputation. You just have to distinguish between the civil ones that offer only constructive criticism and the hostile ones that criticize you more than the cards themselves.

Parhelia you need all the help you can get. Almost every single one of your maindeck cards +es on its own, or is otherwise a searcher. There is no common mechanic to keep the archetype together, so it's just brainless consistency boosting all throughout. I think I counted 6 different xeno monster adds from the deck in there? It's just cheap and uninspired. Honestly I'm surprised I didn't see any Link 1s that Special from the GY (unless I missed it).

Also: It's a fan archetype. It's sh!t by default.

What's wrong with wanting to make a deck that wins? What's wrong with wanting to make a deck that can push out a near-unbreakable board turn 1? What's wrong with wanting to have a mindset where I always ask myself whenever I build decks, "What can MY deck do against other decks turn 1?" Please elaborate.

Turn 1 is where all of your moves matter. Turn 1 is where you get your ONLY chance to beat your opponent. Lose the rock-paper-scissors? Bricked hand? Brought a deck that's scrub-level that can't even make a strong board turn 1? Prepare to get wrecked by meta decks of today.

Look, metagame players and Yugitubers like Slaydra figured it out a long time ago that Komoney constantly pushes out tier 0 decks. Just because they banned PePe, Dragon Rulers, etc. does not mean that they're gonna stop making tier 0 decks! Tier 0 decks are always gonna be made sooner or later, and guess what? There's always gonna be "that new card" that people hate so much. It's just like how companies like Apple and Microsoft always push out their new Android and iPhone products. Their company logic has kept them in business for a long time - "keep the customer by the tits." If we constantly reverted to balanced gameplay, nobody would want to spend money on new products anymore because of how they "prefer the current format the way it is."

I learned to get used to it. Plus, everyone has their own standards of "balance." It's impossible to keep it in check nowadays because guess what? Random custom players won't care about balance in the first place! Welcome to DB Customs. If you want to survive duels against random opponents, you better throw away the mindset of "balanced" games and get used to the common tier 0 boards turn 1.

Plus, considering how Rocket2 destroyed the reputation of custom card "reviewers," I won't be taking in any more feedback on this archetype. Hate it all you want, I'm just gonna continue my way and not care about those who have lost my respect. Good luck.
