Reporting A Mean Person

Hello,

I've been on the site for about a day or so, getting back into it and getting into the flow of things. Some users say effect, others don't and go on. Because of this I got lazy and didn't say eff each time. One user was mean to me since I didn't say eff every match, every time. They said they weren't in the mood and soon private messaged me, calling me autistic. That's minor but I still want to report it, there's no need for that language ever. Especially over not saying effect or eff

To Report someone for abuse or harassment and such, your in the right to come to the forums, however wrong place to do so. There is a handy little option up across the top bar there called Report Abuse. This is where you take things if you have an issue with another player's behavior towards you on the DuelingBook site. When making reports like this, it is best to include links to screenshots. DuelingBook also has a handy feature in site that allows you to do this for the screen showing on the site. From the Main Menu, the option is in the top right of your screen and the icon is a camera. This follows you to every screen you are on while on DuelingBook so you can screenshot any issues with the icon remaining in the same location. You can access old messages from the Main Menu by finding the Messages option and selecting it and can screenshot the contents by using the screenshot feature. Then when filling out your report, copy and paste the link so that the staff and administration can see the proof as they look into your issue. Just keep in mind, action will only be taken if they deem it necessary.

To help prevent further abuse from the offending users, DuelingBook also includes a handy Block option. When searching someone up on the online users list or by using the profile viewer, you have the option to block a user using one of those methods. This prevents them from messaging you, commenting on your profile or status's, joining your duels to play or to watch and even from seeing your messages in the public chat. The same for you as well, you will not see or be able to comment on anything of theirs. The only exception is that you may encounter them in a duel should you join a rated duel as blocked users are not filtered for the competitive scene on DuelingBook.
