is refusing to signal "ok" allowed?

I just had a match where my opponent refused to give any “ok” or thumbs up for the entire match. In Game 1, he said he would stay silent and doesn’t need to confirm anything, then scooped. In Game 2, he did the same thing and never confirmed whether I could proceed (like entering Main Phase).

This made it really unclear if actions were resolving properly, and I was worried about potential backtracking. He was also playing very fast and didn’t give me time to read or verify cards, and when I asked him to slow down or explain, he responded rudely.

During the judge call, I ended up getting timed out and was kicked from the match.

Is this kind of behavior actually allowed, or is my opponent required to acknowledge actions during gameplay?

I get that silence means that I am allowed to proceed after a reasonable amount of time. But my opponent explicitly said he will never signal ok the entire game, and refuses to comunicate even if I ask him in chat if a certain play is ok, or if I can proceed. I don't want to allow my opponent to backtrack and I also don't want to waiting 10-20 seconds on every action to see if my opponent has a response or not.

Here's the replay if anyone wants to check it out and let me know who was in the wrong and what should I do for similar situations.

Am I supposed to play out the match as much as possible or pause play and wait for a judge? I don't want to give him grounds to backtrack whenever he wants to, nor do I want to wait too long for every action. I get that its not feasible to signal thumbs up every possible time that prio passes, but I'm not asking for that, I just want a thumbs up for the main actions like res of a summon, entering main, or activating a spell.
