In a few days, Duelingbook will release all new avatars for users to set as their profile pic. Many will be available to everyone. Others will only be available if you have enough rated wins.

The avatars were chosen based on a few criteria including:

1. Good looking artwork
2. Having a high quality image available
3. Its impact on the meta, or influence in the anime
4. The free avatars mainly feature weak or common cards, whereas the unlockable avatars feature strong, rare cards

The purpose of this thread is for users to post ideas and opinions about whether they think the avatar choices are good ones, and their thoughts about the amount of wins required.

This will make people grind rated more, but please put them like DN did... It took so much time just to scroll from free avis to the 2k win avis

please don't make the required wins same with matches and singles... its kinda unfair getting 1000 wins in singles just same as getting 1000 wins in matches.. tbh singles shouldn't get this perk to promote irl experience competetiveness or atleast make 1 match win = 3 singles win since matches are mostly won in 3 games...

ofc it will be the same, it will take years to do 5000 wins in match....

Keep your petty hating on one part of rated out of this thread. I don't see how it matters if singles have it, combines matches and singles wins anyway. I like the 5000 win ones. Can't wait to try them. I like how many wins each have to unlock as well. Feel like it's not too hard if you play a lot well not the 5000 one as its not really meant to be easy.

It's possible that we'll have some avatars require match wins, and others require single wins. Some people have suggested experience plays a role too.

The original artwork of the egyptian god cards are better than the alternate imo. Is there any chance the original art being put at 5000 wins instead?

the art works are great... no need to change imo... the required wins are also fine... but singles shoudn't be getting this tbh...

There are so many problems with this I don't even know where to begin

1. To get something off my chest, why a majority (if not all) of these pictures Monsters only?

2. I understand you want to make the milestone as sort of an "achievement" thing, but 5000 games? I just checked the rankings and there are only four people with ~2000 games (in wins and losses combined). Takes way too long, the gap between some of these milestones are too big. You went from 2000 to 5000?

3. Just remove the whole milestone thing all together. People shouldn't be compelled to sit on their computer for months to get a picture they like just because of these arbitrary milestones.

3. A lot of poor choices. Some of these images only look good in person because you can bring them up close, but when you downsized some of them, they look ordinary.

imo add avatars for 1500 wins and obelisk ra and slifer to 3k instead

Milestones are not even that high. Dn's was definitely more than this one proposed. If you are active and play a lot it shouldn't be too hard.

he is not wrong about this tho. that avatars are not worthy 1k wins, i dont like them and that avatars doesnt even look good. ngl 500 wins avatars looks way better than 1k wins avatars

Can you use the classic arts of the Egyptian God cards, as well as the original art for XYZ Dragon Cannon?

Also can we make the top tier for wins 1000 instead of 5000? 2000 and 5000 are a bit much, especially for match people.

Also what about the original DB avatars that aren’t in the post? Will those just be removed?

The plan is to remove the original avatars, yeah.

So far, here are the amount of DB users with:
at least 100 wins: 3,412
at least 200 wins: 1,457
at least 500 wins: 227
at least 1,000 wins: 37
at least 2,000 wins: 1
at least 3,000 wins: 1
at least 5,000 wins: 0

So my point stands that 2k and 5k are a bit much. If we do some quick maffs it will probably be another year or so for someone to get 5k

Everything I wrote before still stands and it looks like other posts here seem to recognize my points as well.

Don’t forget that it took that person years to get that. It was 2015 if I recall.

So you are telling me I have grind out another 1000 wins to get a meager 5 more pictures? Very boring in this gap. But then again, I think you were okay with from 2000 to 5000 before. But the average person don't have the time and patience to do this.

Can you include the current DB avatars that are being removed in the starting avatars, or make them unlockable with a certain amount of wins?

Also when should we expect them to go live?

Some were very popular, like Construct, Ghost Reaper, and the Madolche one. You should add them all back so people can change back to them if they decide to use a newer avatar. I don’t see much of a reason to not add them back.
