Speedroid Maliciousmagnet vs The Dragon that Devours the Dogma

Was playing with a friend today, my Branded vs their Speedroid. We were curious how 'Speedroid Maliciousmagnet' would work if it tried to target 'The Dragon that Devours the Dogma' with an Ecclesia monster in GY. Dogma can still be targeted, just unaffected by card effects but would that also work on the Synchro Summon that Magnet causes? Personally think it could go either way as Magnet causes a summoning, not anything directly to Dogma.

We were played assuming no, but wanted to see if there was an offical ruling for this. Respective effects in full below.

Speedroid Maliciousmagnet: Cannot be used as Synchro Material except for a Synchro Summon by its own effect. During your Main Phase, if this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 WIND Synchro Monster using only this card you control and that monster. You can only use this effect of "Speedroid Maliciousmagnet" once per turn.

The Dragon that devours the Dogma: While an "Ecclesia" monster is on the field or in either GY, this card gains 500 ATK, also it is unaffected by other cards' effects. You can only use each of the following effects of "The Dragon that Devours the Dogma" once per turn. If this card is Special Summoned: You can shuffle up to 2 cards from any GY(s) and/or banishment into the Deck. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was sent there this turn: You can add 1 "Dogmatika" or "Tri-Brigade" card from your Deck to your hand.
