The reason why the original phpBB forum had to be taken down and hastily replaced with a feature light forum was because of the terrible Online Safety Act threatening to destroy the platform if changes weren't made, wasn't it? Britain clearly needs another revolution to get those terrible lawmakers replaced with ones who actually get the internet.

It's very fun to think deeply about such stuff, but no, that wasn't the reason. For whatever reason, the forum was putting a big strain on the server, affecting performance severely. That's why it was terminated.
