Deck Spotlight: Fifi And The Flowertots

FIFI AND THE FLOWERTOTS
https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=11395645
Year of Origin: 2005
Is it real?: Yes (Though only the children probably still remember it)
Ace Monster: Flowertots Forever: Fiddly Flowerpetals!
The Main Races: Plant
The Main Attributes: WATER
Extra Monsters: Link
Attack: 3/5
Defence: 4/5
Strategy: 5/5
Intellect: 5/5
Luck: 4/5
THE STORY:
Oh no, Fifi Forget-Me-Not forgot how her story went!
STRATEGY:
....But not how her strategy went! Use the power of healing, especially from Soul Of The Pure, to mill your opponents to oblivion! You get extra bonuses from gaining extra LP, like a more offensive version of the Aromages.
The core card of this deck is Fifi And The Flowertots herself: Whenever you gain LP while she's out, she makes your opponent forget the top card of their deck! (AKA milling it)
The deck revolves around the ancient Soul of the Pure, and when it is activated, your Flowertots gain extra bonuses: Buttercup And Daisy And The Flowertots can search another Soul of the Pure when one is activated, and gain Special Summon itself from the hand whenever you gain LP, Violet and The Flowertots can Special Summon herself from the hand if you activated Soul of the Pure this turn, and can mill your opponent based on how many times you gained LP this turn, and Poppy and the Flowertots can Special Summon herself when another Flowertot monster is Special Summoned, and can protect Flowertot Spells and Soul of the Pure from negation!
However, Soul Of The Pure is not the deck's only healing option. In The Flowertot Garden grants an auto heal at the start of each of your turns, Flowertots At The Talent Show protects your Flowertots and heals you whenever a monster is Special Summoned, and The Flowertots Have A Plan can stop attacks and heal, and, if you have 3 or more Plant monsters, can even stop effects!
The deck's Link monsters also make sure you're as right as rain! Flowertots Like Shooting Stars gains ATK proportionate to the amount of LP you gained last turn and search out Flowertot cards for a very hefty price, Flowertots On A Ride turns Soul Of The Pure into removal, and their ace card, Flowertots Forever: Fiddly Flowerpetals, damages your opponent whenever you gain LP!
KILLER COMBOS
Summon Fifi And The Flowertots and use her effect to search out Bumble and The Flowertots, and use his effect to Special Summon himself from the hand: With their effects combined, you'll be able to mill 6 cards in one shot! (One from the LP gain that Bumble And The Flowertots grants when he's summoned, and five from his effect because you control Fifi And The Flowertots) If you have Buttercup And Daisy And The Flowertots or Poppy and the Flowertots in your hand, you can Special Summon them after Bumble and bring out a powerful Link monster! Notably, Linking Bumble And The Flowertots with Buttercup And Daisy And The Flowertots, and using the latter's effect to bring Bumble back will let you summon him again through his effect, milling another 6 cards! (Both of the other Flowertots with Special Summoning abilities are hard once per turns)
Flowertots Rolling In The Rain can both Special Summon a Flowertot and search out Soul of the Pure at the cost of your next Battle Phase. If you bring out Fifi And The Flowertots this way, you can use the spare Normal Summon for something else!
Flowertots At The Talent Show can banish itself from the GY to make your next Soul of the Pure a Quick Play spell card. This allows you to utilize the former card's powerful removal effect!
Oh No, Stingo, Don't Mess With The Flowertots! This Trap converts damage to LP, mills your opponent if it triggers a Flowertot, and can summon itself as a Normal monster.

Recommend these changes to your archetype to improve their readability.

Bumble And The Flowertots
If you control a "Flowertot" monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then if you control "Fifi And The Flowertots", you can send the top 5 cards of your opponent's Deck to the GY (or their entire Deck if less than 5). When this card is Normal Summoned: Gain 800 LP. If this card is sent to the GY as Link Material and you gained LP this turn: You can target 1 Spell/Trap; destroy it, and if you do, gain 700 LP.

I don't see a particular reason while this card needs to treat itself as also insect-type when your archetype focuses on the plant-type.

Buttercup And Daisy And The Flowertots
When you gain LP: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Buttercup And Daisy And The Flowertots" once per turn. If you activate a "Soul" Spell Card: You can discard 1 card; add 1 "Soul" Spell from your Deck to your hand. If this card is sent to the GY as Link Material: You can target 1 "Flowertot" card or "Soul" Spell in your GY, except this card; add it to your hand.

Fifi And The Flowertots
You can only use each of these effects of "Fifi And The Flowertots" once per turn and cannot Summon, except Plant monsters, nor activate monster effects, except Plant monsters, the turn you activate either effect.
● When this card is Summoned: You can add 1 each "Flowertot" card and "Soul" Spell from your Deck and/or GY to your hand, and if you do, you can shuffle any number of cards from your field and/or GY into the Deck.
● When you gain LP: You can look at your opponent's Deck and send 1 card from it to the GY.

Discarding itself to turn "the next Soul of the Pure" into a quick-play spell card makes no sense and would cause ruling disputes and confusion.

Poppy And The Flowertots
When you Summon a "Flowertot" monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "Soul" Spell from your Deck or GY to your hand. Once per turn, if you take damage or activate a "Flowertot" Spell/Trap Card: Gain 500 LP.

Violet And The Flowertots
You can only use each of these effects of "Violet And The Flowertots" once per turn and cannot Summon, except Plant monsters, nor activate monster effects, except Plant monsters, the turn you activate either effect.
● If you activate a "Soul" Spell Card: You can Special Summon this card from your hand/GY, and if you do, you can shuffle any number of cards from your field and/or GY into the Deck, except this card.
● If this card is sent to the GY as Link Material: You can target 1 face-up card on the field; negate its effects (until the end of this turn), and if you do, you can Set 1 "Soul" Spell from your Deck/GY.

Flowertots At The Talent Show
This turn, all "Flowertot" monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent's non-Plant monster effects, also each time a monster(s) is Special Summon to another monster's column, gain 500 LP. If you activate a "Soul" Spell Card: You can shuffle any number of cards from your GY into the Deck, including this card, then target 1 face-up card on the field; place it on top of the Deck.

Flowertots Rolling In The Rain
Special Summon 1 "Flowertot" monster from your hand/Deck/GY, then you can Set 1 "Soul" Spell from your Deck/GY, and if you do, you can shuffle any number of cards from your field and/or GY into the Deck, except the Summoned or Set card. You can only activate 1 "Flowertots Rolling In The Rain" per turn. You cannot Summon, except Plant monsters, nor activate monster effects, except Plant monsters, the turn you activate this card.

In The Flowertot Garden
You can add 1 "Flowertot" card or "Soul" Spell from your Deck/GY to your hand, and if you do, you can shuffle any number of cards from your field and/or GY into the Deck. You can only use this effect of "In The Flowertot Garden" once per turn. You cannot Summon, except Plant monsters, nor activate monster effects, except Plant monsters, the turn you activate this effect.

Oh No, Stingo, Don't Mess With The Flowertots!
Special Summon this card as a Normal Monster (Plant/WATER/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 0) (this card is NOT treated as a Trap), and if you do, if you would take damage this turn, gain that much LP instead. If you control a "Flowertot" monster, you can activate this card the turn it was Set.

The Flowertots Have A Plan
During the Main or Battle Phase, when a card or effect is activated that targets a card while you control a monster that is a "Flowertot" monster or used a "Flowertot" monster as Link Material, or when an attack is declared involving your monster that is a "Flowertot" monster or used a "Flowertot" monster as Link Material: Negate the activation/attack and end the Main or Battle Phase. During your turn except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can shuffle any number of cards from your GY into the Deck including this card, then target 1 "Flowertot" or "Soul" Spell in your GY; Set it, and if it is a Quick-Play Spell, it can be activated this turn.

Flowertots Forever: Fiddly Flowerpetals!
3+ monsters including a WATER Plant monster
If you have a "Soul" Spell in your GY and more LP than your opponent, you can also use up to 1 monster each in your hand and opponent's field as material to Link Summon this card. Cannot be destroyed while, or banished while, it points to a "Flowertot" monster. Once per turn, if you gain LP: Inflict that much damage to your opponent.

The rest of this archetype's link monsters, as well as "Flowertots Are Blossoming Out," should be deleted, as this archetype already has at least 10 different main deck cards and plenty of searchers to the point where any more, including those link-2s that search, becomes excessive.

Christen57's changes are now live on Duelingbook....nearly gutting the archetype had I not chose to keep Fifi's original milling effect. Why? Well, now they don't have any low Link numbered Link monsters, forcing them to use cards from other archetypes, and, most importantly, most of their healing/milling effects are now gone! However, most of the Special Summon conditions were unchanged, so that's something?
BUT....Fifi can now mill 2 cards on the first heal, Oh No, Stingo, Don't Mess With The Flowertots! and The Flowertots Have A Plan now have their bonus effects without the condition, and, most importantly, Flowertots Forever: Fiddly Flowerpetals now deals full damage whenever you gain LP!
Also, something tells me Christen57 really hates mill decks: at least once at every rework, the text ''you can shuffle any number of cards from your field and/or GY into the Deck.'' was added!
Still, thank you for the changes!

The link-5 monster wasn't fixed. It still has the original text from before I started making suggestions to this archetype.

Also, the field spell needs to do the LP increasing during something like each standby phase, not at the very start of each turn. The "start of each turn" is supposed to be reserved for the turn player drawing a card during his draw phase.

Oh, sorry. Didn't see that, ol' man. Hopefully, this will make up for losing the 2 Link monsters: Being able to get rid of an enemy monster and use a material from the hand can bring out the ace a lot easier! But....I really do miss the two Link-2 monsters already.
The two changes above are now live! Thank you for the changes, and don't forget to check out the three NEW deck spotlights!

Also, the field's first effect needs to be worded as:
During each Standby Phase: The turn player
not:
At the start of each Standby Phase, the turn player

The only phases cards and effects should, be default, be able to activate specifically "at the start of" are the main and battle phases.

Also, when searching your cards in the Deck Constructor, I found an additional Flowertot monster I didn't initially see in your archetype called Primrose And The Flowertots. I recommend deleting this since I already gave specific suggestions to this archetype assuming this monster didn't exist, and I really don't think this archetype should have an additional searcher when it's already got 4 other built-in searchers not including searchers outside the archetype that it can run like Lonefire Blossom.

You also forgot to delete those link-2s.

Also, my suggestion to "Fifi And The Flowertots" was for its effect that removes a card from the opponent's deck to be nerfed so it was hard once per turn, but, to compensate for this nerf, buffed so it now lets you see the opponent's deck to get rid of a card instead of only getting rid of their top card. Because of this, I recommend that it does not have any additional milling effect like:
"Once per chain, if you gain LP: Send the top card of your opponent's deck to the GY."
as just being able to look at the opponent's deck to remove 1 of their strongest cards is already super powerful enough as doing so gives you valuable information about their entire strategy and cuts off their access to any important cards they're only running 1 copy of.

Oh no, Fifi Forget-Me-Not forgot to put that card in the deck! But those changes are now live. Yeah....I'm gonna need a new mill deck, this deck doesn't really mill anymore!

With the changes I've suggested, the archetype's now pretty solid, even with those link-2s gone, and even without focusing on milling as much. It can consistently end on at least 2 interruptions — Benghalancer the Resurgent and The Flowertots Have A Plan — and can search/trigger Soul of the Pure multiple times a turn to trigger the various monster effects that trigger from life point gain and keep the player supplied with life points to use Benghalancer the Resurgent's negating effect.

The archetype can also consistently bring out its link-5, but I usually only find myself needing the link-5 to out stupid stuff like a Number 59: Crooked Cook with some attached xyz material that gives it battle protection.

The link-5 just needs one more fix. Where it says:
Once per chain
the "chain" should actually be capitalized so it reads:
Once per Chain

Also, The Flowertots Have A Plan's first effect can be shortened from:
During the Main or Battle Phase, when a card or effect is activated that targets a card while you control a monster that is a "Flowertot" monster or used a "Flowertot" monster as Link Material, or when an attack is declared involving your monster that is a "Flowertot" monster or used a "Flowertot" monster as Link Material: Negate the activation/attack and end the Main or Battle Phase.
to:
During the Main or Battle Phase, when an attack is declared involving, or a card or effect is activated that targets a card while you control, a monster that is a "Flowertot" monster or used a "Flowertot" monster as Link Material: Negate the attack/activation, and if you do, end the Main or Battle Phase.

Also, "Oh No, Stingo, Don't Mess With The Flowertots!" should have 0 ATK so it can give the player more life points due to more damage being converted to life point gain.

These changes are now live....except the last one. Why would your opponent ever want to attack a 0 ATK monster if they know that damage is turned to healing?!

'Cause if they don't they won't be able to get to your life points via attacking. Alternatively, you can attack with this and gain the life points that way instead of relying on the opponent to do the attacking.

Well, if you say so...this change to Oh No, Stingo, Don't Mess With The Flowertots is now live! Don't forget to check out the rest of the deck spotlights!
