Ok, so i odnt have any of the cards yet, but i can give the rough idea. Alkhmist is the name of the archetype, and its more or less a combination of the decent spam ability of tenyi, the decent consistency of invoked, and the gimmick of masked heroes. The goal of tjhe deck if to purify cards on the field (instead of actual negation, you will simplify the cards purified, whether it be yours or your opponents). Its split up into two monster groups, the small group of alchemists, and the larger group of spirits. The deck focuses around a card names "Alkahest, Universal Solvent" (similar to how invoked focuses around invocation, and how Masked Heroes focus around mask change). you get this card, purify your monsters, and continue on with your plays.
so, im wordering: do you think this is too complicated?

Alchemy-themed archetype
Some nerd who makes stupid posts and has nothing better to do.
Why do we need another Invoked mechanic? Didn't we see enough of it being splat in many decks. Are we going to replace Aleister+Invocation with this Alkahest cards in custom duels? No, of course not. Beside what is the lore of this copy Aleister, we know his young, mid & later life stories. Since you mentioned "Mask Change" I will also assumed it is a Quick Spell Fusion Card, that made it a more broken Invocation if it can used your opponent's monster too.

We don't want to powercreep an existing engine.

I don't think so, it's an archetype that comes close to Invoked or similar
