Off to Different Things

Post #1 by NoahC92 » Sun Dec 17, 2017 8:38 am

After 13 years playing this game and almost 2 years judging on DN and then DB, I've decided it's time to move on from Yugioh. Some of you know me. Most of you probably don't. To those of you that do, feel free to contact me on Discord or Facebook if you're still wanting to keep in touch.

I won't be coming back from yugioh. Right now, my mind needs time for yugioh to fade from it. Tbh, VRAINS doesn't really teach you how to make balanced custom cards, but OP cards.

Evenly Matched banish the opponent's entire field for no cost.

Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring / Subterror Fiendess both negate an opponent's card effect (with the excuse of not destroying it). When monsters that had a negation effect required a bunch of resources to be summoned (Stardust Dragon / Assault Mode, Shooting Quasar Dragon, Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, Cyber Dragon Infinity, etc.) Now you don't even need to summon a monster to prevent your opponent from playing, just discard 1 card and your opponent will probably lose the game.

Salamangreat Balelynx adds a Field Spell of their own archetype, when Ancient Fairy Dragon is already banned and Terraforming is semi-limited. ¿What is the point of banning a card when you'll make effects that do the same or even better?

Konami enjoys the unfair cards because konami enjoys the money. Sad Truth.

Yep, making OP cards was not what I signed up for. Once people realize that Konami is making unfair cards, they will drift away from yugioh.

Making yugioh custom cards is not like easy as it used to be. Yugioh used to be so easy in the old days.
