[Q&A]: Skipping the Next Battle Phase (UPDATED: JANUARY 4, 2024)

Q: How does Dueling Book handle cards/effects that require me to skip my next Battle Phase? Must I enter the Battle Phase in order for it to be considered skipped?

For example, if I activate "Runick Flashing Fire" during my Main Phase 1, can I imply I am skipping the Battle Phase by simply moving from my Main Phase 1 to my End Phase?

A: To be consistent with how judges are ruling this interaction at real-life tournaments, if a player does not state they are entering their next Battle Phase, it shall be considered implied that the Battle Phase is skipped.

In the example above, by moving straight from the Main Phase 1 to the End Phase, that turn's Battle Phase will still be considered skipped. During the following turn, if that player attempts to enter the Battle Phase, they will be allowed to do so.
