Why did Madolche prices spike?

Seriously Chocolat-a-la-Made is at $50 now! Magiliene and Anjelly are holding strong around $20, Hootcake is all over the place.
I know that Madolche are a fan favorite, and that Sistart, Pettingcccessoeur, and Teacher Glassouffle have given it some power. But it isn't topping major events to my knowledge.
