The Royal Australian

Post #1 by TheRoyalAu » Fri Aug 06, 2021 2:57 am

Hello, I'm a Judge Trainee in real life, and a 20 year Yu-Gi-Oh! veteran.

I started playing in 2001 when the game was released in Australia, I suddenly stopped playing the card game, and moved to simulation for 15 years.

In the old video game variants of Yu-Gi-Oh! simulation, I played and completed the games released on all platforms apart from PC.

I then reconnected with the physical card game, then played again before the site www.duelingnetwork.com was subsequently shut down.

I continue to play the game in both simulation, and in real life, constantly building that much needed knowledge.

I hope the sites administrator's wouldn't mind if I leave this behind to prove that I'm a Judge Trainee, and I as a result request to receive a Judges position for the reasons of developing my skills further:

Welcome to the Konami Judge Program!
You are now officially enrolled in the Konami Judge Program Judge Roster.
I recommend reading over the Konami Judge Program FAQ, if you have not already done so.
You can find it here: https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/judges/judge_FAQ.html
Please read through the FAQ before you email us with questions.

Let me give you a quick overview of what happens next, and explain the resources now available to you.

1) Judge Program Email List:

You are already signed up for this. You need to be able to receive emails in order to remain registered as a Konami Judge.
You will receive periodic emails updating you on what’s going on, so make sure that your email filters are set to allow emails from [email protected]. There isn’t a set schedule for these emails, I will generally wait until I’ve got some actual news or information to pass along to you.
If you are judging in the European and Oceanic territories, you will also get emails from the KDE offices in Europe – [email protected] .
2) Unofficial Facebook Group:

Facebook users can join the unofficial group for Yu-Gi-Oh! judges – Adjudication Conflagration.
Lots of experienced judges are members, it is a good place to seek advice and answers to many kinds of judging questions.
We also post event pictures here, and generally hang out and have a good time.

This is an unofficial group, and not supported by KDE.
Members are expected to abide by the rules posted in the group.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/Adjudication/
3) Other official KDE Resources:

Consult www.yugioh-card.com for the most reliable and official news. Organized Play information, policy documents, and product information can all be found here.
We have a page dedicated to the Konami Judge Program, make use of it!
https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/judges/index.html
Tournament Policy Documents:

There is more to judging than knowing card rulings! If you have not already done so, download, print, and read the Konami Tournament Policy Documents.
You need to know the information in these documents in order to be an effective judge.
you will need to know the information in these documents in order to be an effective judge.
There are three documents, and you can find them here:
Official KDE-US Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Tournament Policy:
https://img.yugioh-card.com/en/gameplay ... _v_2_1.pdf

Official KDE-US Tournament Infractions and Penalties Policy:
https://img.yugioh-card.com/en/gameplay ... _v_2_1.pdf
Speed Duel Addendum:
https://img.yugioh-card.com/en/gameplay ... Policy.pdf

There are three articles you should read along with the above documents, to better understand the changes and updates. some notable changes to Tournament Policy, of which you need to be aware. I recommend you read over these articles on the Strategy Site, they explain what changed or was updated in each section of the document.
Tournament Policy document: https://yugiohblog.konami.com/2020/11/y ... licy-v-2-1

Penalty document: https://yugiohblog.konami.com/articles/?p=9969
There is also an article clarifying the Card/Hand/Deck Verification policy change: https://yugiohblog.konami.com/articles/ ... #more-9880

For Judges in the European/Oceanic Territories:

I have passed along your judge contact info to the European office. If you have any questions more directly related to judging in the European and Oceanic territories, you’re best off contacting the European office directly: [email protected].
I can still answer general questions about the judge program, however, so don’t be afraid to continue to contact me if you would like.
Check the Judge Program FAQ first, though. Your answer is probably there.

For Judges in Latin America:

If you would like to judge at a Regional, contact the TO for the event and let them know. I’m not personally handling the judge staffing for Regionals, you don’t need to go through me in order to judge at a Regional.
http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/events/re ... at-am.html

Tier 3 Events for Latin America 2021:
Please see http://www.yugioh-card.com/lat-am/events/index.html for all current Tier 3 event postings.
Once an event has been posted here, a judge call email with a link to an online application form will be sent to you.

For Judges in North America:
If you would like to judge at a Regional, contact the TO for the event and let him or her know. I’m not personally handling the judge staffing for Regionals, that’s more work than any one person can do. You don’t need to go through me in order to judge at a Regional.
Regional Qualifiers are posted here: http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/events/re ... tions.html

Tier 3 Events for North America 2021:
Please see http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/events/index.html for all current Tier 3 event postings.
Once an event has been posted here, a judge call email with a link to an online application form will be sent to you.

If you would like to apply to judge at a Latin America or North America Tier 3 Event, please follow the steps below.

1) Be aware that we will not be able to accept everyone who applies. There will be many more applications than available spots. Applying does not guarantee you a spot on the team. Hold off on purchasing travel, etc. until we have sent you an email informing you that you have been selected.

2) Judges are not selected on a first come, first served basis. Building a strong judge team requires a core of experienced judges, filled out with newer judges who are ready to work hard, learn, and contribute to the success of the event.

3) Understand that the process of selecting the final team will likely take several weeks. In most cases, we cannot give you an immediate answer about whether or not you will be selected – please be patient after you send in your application.

4) Make sure all of your information is complete and legible.

Judge calls are handled via an online application form. Judges in North and Latin America will receive an email with a link to the application form, for Tier 3 events held within their territory.
If you have not received an email for an event in which you are interested, you may email [email protected] and request a link to the application.

We are currently working on the North and Latin American Event Schedule for 2021. Once events have been finalized, they will be posted to www.yugioh-card.com, and a judge call will be sent out.

If you have any questions, first read through the Judge Program FAQ linked above. If you don’t find the answer to your questions, send them along to [email protected] and I will do my best to get them answered.

https://imgur.com/4yJU9Hs You're requesting a Judge's position while saying you don't want anything to do with their Judge program? :|
There is literally a Judge Exam on the front page. https://www.duelingbook.com/judge-exam It even has a little checkbox for users interested in being a judge if they pass the exam.

I didn't pass the exam, and I am very much a Judge Trainee in real life, all I have to do is wait for Xtreme Games Antioch Il to get back to me in 3 weeks when they start local tournament's again.

I will admit however, I'm not a fan of the abuse I'm getting from people, and I very much prefer to leave a match after turning it over to my opponent if a Judge enters as of my bad experience previously.

Considering Duelingbook's exam was made as part of their standards, if you didn't pass that exam, you probably do not have the rulings knowledge they are looking for in a Duelingbook Judge right now.

Becoming a Konami judge is easy because they need SOMEONE to fill the role at even the local level. DB wants good judges who keep up with the rulings and can handle the common situations easily.

Oh, well, I am just leaving this behind anyway just in case they decide to apply a Judges position to me, because like I said, I'm a Judge Trainee in real life.

I'll be Judging locally at your closest Xtreme Games in Antioch Il.

congrats on being approved.
I have interest in badly designed custom cards.
You saw these cards as terrible, I saw them as ideas.
