Looks to be a typo. It should say "tributing". Thank you for pointing it out.

Hi, I took the exam and it says I scored 91%, but then it says 13/20. That doesn't make sense to me. Is there a mistake?

The percentage is based on your score "X/80" where "X" is the number of correct answers you marked + the number of incorrect answers you did not mark.
The "Y/20" score is the number of questions where you correctly marked all right answers and also did not mark any incorrect answers.

Oh, thanks! However, I'm unclear about what that means regarding my chances of being a judge. Which of the 2 scores matters the most? does my high (91) percentage mean I'll be contacted or does my low (13/20) score mean I won't?

There should be an exception to people who "technically" didn't take it. And if proof is necessary then it should be possible to check the user's progress on how far they've gotten.

i think u should be able to retake the exam if u got more than 80%. just because u might have misread some of the cards, or cases, which let to an incorrect answer...or u should be able to retake it once every month.Because if u scrwed up once, u will never be able to retake it, even though u might inprove ur knowledge of the game.Even the real Judge exam can be retaken thousands of times....so why not on a site like DB?

The biggest problem withthis exam is TIME. The movement between questions is very slow (it takes minutes just to go from page 20 back to page 1). The exam froze for a few minutes right at the beginning and also when trying to move to a previous question too quickly and when trying to open a second tab. 60 min for 80 questions is too low if you wanted to double check something or look it up online. Its a test of time efficiency rather than knowledge. Otherwise good test, the questions covered most aspects of the game.

I was waiting for this exam for too long and ultimately stopped playing for a few months because of an internship I'm currently having at an institute abroad.
So obviously I took this test as soon as my friend told me it's out (today), knowing that I've probably forgot many of the rulings and I was too impatient to give it a few days to remind myself a bit lol
But nevertheless I got exactly 90% (15/20). Does that mean that I'll be contacted to be a judge? Because they said that my score needs to be ''impressive'', and I'm certain that the score I've gotten today cannot really be considered ''impressive'' by any standard... But still, it's considered that I've passed the test, so I'm not sure

Passing this exam doesn't mean that you will be contacted to be a judge. The judge exam is a litmus test to see if you know enough rulings to give proper judgement in ruling disputes. If you passed the exam but have a history of noncompliance, then you probably won't be contacted to be a judge.
Belialderai

Isnt there any way to retake the exam?
I do think that I have gotten a lot better with rulings since I have taken the exam several months before but I have no way to proof it for myself and maybe even become a judge here on DB

No Clue

Not sure if the staff know yet. My guess would be not yet planned, simply because the last wasn't that long ago.

In all fairness to all who took the exam "already" and feel they inproved since, the option to not take it, and improve prior taking this one existed. As such I see no reason for people to feel that learning more should enable them a tryout for a 2nd exam. I really do not get why they cannot just wait while reading through resources.

That said, if you are interested, I would message Lantern aka The Exiled Tombstone, as they are one of the Site Head Admins, or any of the Senior Administrators for the site, as they are more likely to know if a 2.0 is being discussed, or planned currently.

The only way I think you could do this would be to record yourself taking the exam with bandicam or something, then referring to that video to see what the questions were.

None of the factors of how well you can play the card game are going to come into play. A lot of the non-ruling stuff would just end up being things like player management, etc. which also isn't based on your skills in playing the game of Yugioh.

Wait, so should I take the old exam now while I still have the chance since I won't be able to take it again once the new exam gets released? I haven't attempted any exams yet since I first joined this platform back in 2017. Will I not be able to take it once it gets replaced with this new one?

Also, will this current exam we can still take use the old rulings or the newest ones, such as the new rule change where Elemental HERO Absolute Zero won't activate it's effect if it's returned to the extra deck? Also will it use goat format rules, TCG rules, or OCG rules, such as not requiring players to reveal their deck even if Nobleman of Crossout says so?

Also, what happens if we choose not to be "interested in a judge position" if we pass, but then we change our minds later on and decide we do wish to be a judge? Do we have to retake the exam, and this time choose the "interested in a judge position" option?

Partial credit. Only way I can think of that allows 0 correct answers to give a nonzero percentage is if you can get a percentage even if you don't get the full question right. The exam front page says "For each question, you will select all options that apply". That implies there should be more than 1 option per question. If you hit an answer that applied, but didn't get them all, you score worse than someone who got all of the answers that applied but better than someone who didn't get any answers that applied. So if someone got a 0/25, that means they never got all of the answers that applied to any single question. If they got a 41%, they got at least some of the options to some of the questions, presumably averaging to 41% accuracy, hence the score. Based on RoyalAu's statement of 0/25 and 41%, the exam tells you both pieces of information. Based on the front page, it only cares about your percentage, since a passing score is 85%, with no clarification on how many questions must be totally right. If they do care about how many out of 25 have to be completely correct, it's not mentioned on the front page.

The first exam was released on August 20, 2018. The second exam was released on November 6, 2019. The third exam (this new one) was released on August 4, 2021. So it looks like new exams are released once every 1-2 years.[/quote:1a64iwz8]
Every year the current exam was supposed to be released last year[/quote:1a64iwz8]

But you delayed it because you were still using the old exam to hire people, right?

I don't think so somehow, if you look back in the archives of this forum, I think you might find that the old exam was replaced and needed to be remade into the 25 question one it is now.

[quote="Pax":1vxm0y6o]I was waiting for this exam for too long and ultimately stopped playing for a few months because of an internship I'm currently having at an institute abroad.
But still, it's considered that I've passed the test, so I'm not sure[/quote:1vxm0y6o]

Wow, not going to lie, this is pretty good.

Ok, well, you'll need to find it somewhere around here.

Log into Duelingbook itself, and in the update Change Log itself on the bottom right of the screen, it say's that you can now take the 2021 Judge Exam.
