Attention Duelists!
The Duelingbook Tournament Scene is about to enter a type of Renaissance. With it comes change. With change comes many great things.
One of those great things is Harmonic Souls: Organized Play. Yes, we're back again & we're better than ever.
We have several tournaments we look forward to hosting through this COVID-19 season, so stay tuned.

Without further adieu, I welcome you all to Harmonic Souls Championship Series (HaCS) #3: Kyoto [TCG] & I wish you good luck.

Before you ask:
- No, you do not need to travel to, nor be a resident of Kyoto, Japan to play in this event of this event. It's just an event name.
- If you hate/dislike the name, blame Yang Xiao Long. :P
- Yes, it is your responsibility to comprehend this page in its entirety & to contact myself or another Administrator if you have any questions.

Pre-Registration & Registration:
● A minimum of 64 users need to register in order for the tournament to take place - The maximum amount of users allowed is 128.
● The first 64 users will have free entry (no entry fees). The later 64 (if applicable) will be required to pay an entry fee of 1 USD.
● In the case that 128 users join, the prize values are doubled.
● Registration is expected to be brief, but extensions within it for any purpose.
● Your registration will be invalidated if you are a user on the Harmonic Souls: Organized Play Suspended Players' List.

● To register: Post your Duelingbook Username, your Discord Username (& the 4 digits), & your Time Zone(s) of intended use.
● Afterwards, join our Discord Server (link above) & verify your registry in the #cs-verify room or with our Staff (this can include me).
● Once your registry is verified, you will be given the Participants' Role in the Discord & you will be added to the Participants' List.

● Note that all updates for tournament will occur in the Discord Server. Reminder messages MIGHT be sent out on Duelingbook, privately.
- It is your responsibility to remain updated with anything related to the tournament. We will keep every member informed on progress.
- It is not the fault of Harmonic Souls: Organized Play Staff if you are not attentive to Discord pings & possible private messages.

General Information:
● This is a Swiss Format Tournament. It will have a Top Cut that consists of 8 (or 16) participants. Attendance makes the outcome vary.
https://challonge.com/ is the format where this format will be utilized. Its system will account for scoring & for any tiebreakers.

● If you are unfamiliar with Swiss Format, view the following reference below.

● All tournament games must be hosted on Duelingbook as best 2 out of 3 (Matches) without a Watcher's Password.
● All tournament games must use the current TCG Forbidden & Limited List (June 15th) @: https://yugioh-card.com/en/limited
● OCG-Exclusive Cards cannot be used in the tournament. In the case an OCG-Exclusive Card becomes TCG Legal, it can be used.
● TCG Cards that are legal (in any region) can be used in this tournament & their allotted Konami Card Status.


Activity, Contact & Conduct:
● Each Swiss Round will last 2 days (48 hrs.). Extensions for certain Duels or Rounds can be granted by a Tournament Official.
● Inactivity can result in losses & incomplete Matches can result in ties/losses. Verdicts on these cases are left to Tournament Officials.
● If you have an inactive opponent, make sure you have contacted them before reporting them as inactive to a Tournament Official.
● In the case you have issues contacting or dueling your opponent, contact a Tournament Official.

● During Swiss Rounds, your decklist can be altered in-between Rounds (but not in-between games).
● During Single Elimination (Top Cut), you are required to send a Decklist to a Tournament Official before you Duel to be validated.
● Throughout Single Elimination, you cannot alter your Decklist. Alteration can result in a disqualification and/or other punishment.

● In the case of an in-game dispute, message an available Tournament Official either in our Discord Server or on Duelingbook.
● Inform the messaged Tournament Official to join your game on Duelingbook. During this process, remain court & respectful.

● Lying to a Tournament Official, Cheating, Looking for exploits (for malicious intent) can result in a disqualification/punishment.
● Unsporting Conduct will not be tolerated. Unsporting Conduct may result in a punishment. You should remain court at all times.
● Appeals for in-game verdicts are allowed. During this process, remain court & respectful to all involved.
● Offenses acquired in tournament CAN have punishments that might have effects on your Duelingbook account & future tournaments.


Prizing:
- These are the prizes available for the participants if they acquire these places while there are 64 participants total.
● 1st Place: $20 via Paypal or a 60-day donation code.
● 2nd Place: $10 via Paypal or a 30-day donation code.
● 3rd Place: $5 via Paypal or a 15-day donation code.

- The prizes for this tournament will be fully distributed (whether simultaneous or separate) NO LATER than September 1st, 2020.
- Reminder: Prizes can be distributed earlier than this & these prizes will be doubled in value if 128 players join.

● If you are interested in hosting tournaments for Harmonic Souls: Organized Play, we have good news. We're hiring people.
- Contact me, Monarch Snow (#9182) on Discord privately & you will be informed if you qualify for an interview.

● Harmonic Souls: Organized Play is now hosting Swiss Live tournaments to its criteria.
- This will not replace Single Elimination, but this will add Swiss to our already existing tournament style.

● Harmonic Souls Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (HaCS) #4 has been confirmed and will take place later this season.
- If there is success with HaCS #3: Kyoto, the prize pool for HaCS #4 will be AT LEAST 4 times LARGER than that of HaCS #3.
