Hello Duelists. It is I, Blue Angel, welcoming you to a new format given to you by Ozone Tournaments.
Get your gear ready, because it is time to LINK INTO THE VRAINS!
Note: The following is NOT Speed Dueling nor a proxy of it. It is an anime-like tournament that is still being tested.
Signing up:
- Post your DB username in this topic for signing up in the tournament
- First 8 or 16 people to sign up will be added to the participate list.
- The tournament will immediately begin once we receive 8-16 participants.
General Rules:
- The current TCG Forbidden & Limited List + Format Regulations
- Cards from either the TCG or OCG card pool may be used.
- Every duel will be a best of 3 match.
- Deck changing is NOT allowed in this tournament.
- Remember that you must be in constant contact with the Tournament Hosts via DB or Discord.
- 10 Minutes of inactivity will result in a GAME loss, and 15 minutes of inactivity will result in a MATCH loss.
- Cheating, sharking or lying to the host or admin will result in an immediate disqualification, further actions will be taken.
- Before proceeding to duel, you must send a screenshot of your Deck to the tournament host. (Send your Deck before dueling)
- You must follow ALL the tournament rules.
Prize:
The winner gets a 15 day donation code + 1 Player Skill
(If there are 16 players, prize support is doubled for both code & Player Skill) (I'm supplying my own prize if so.)

What is a Player Skill?
Player Skills are abilities that a player can use. A Player Skill can be acquired when an individual wins a VRAINS tournament.
Player Skills are quite powerful and the acquisition and use of them can change a duel drastically as they are taken straight from the anime.
1. To keep an acquired Skill, you must participate in VRAINS Tournament Lives, consecutively.
2. Losing a tournament match OR not participating in a VRAINS Tournament Live results into you losing the acquire skill.
You would end up having to win again.
Skills do start chains, but they are NOT activated effects of a particular card/card type, or activated from a specific location.
This enables certain cards to be chained and some being unable to chain.
Certain Player Skills can chain to each other if activation requirements are correct.
That leaves a-lot of gameplay questions, especially with how the skills are written (looking like PSCT).
Due to this, for the time-being, I am the only one hosting these VRAINS Tournaments.
Certain rulings & interactions have been left below.
Please read what the Player Skills do first otherwise there will be more confusion, then expected.

Last thing to note before Format Regulations is, each Player Skill is limited to one usage per tournament.
Assume you've used the Player Skill "Fighting Spirit" in Game 1 (within a 2/3 match) in the tournament.
You're not able to use that named Player Skill again in a tournament. In the example above, you cannot use that Skill again in Games 2 or 3.
Format Regulations:
- No Pendulum Zones or Main Phase 2.
- The Deck used must be deemed Link-based by me. (A majority of your Extra Deck has to be Link Monsters.)
- The Duel Field is altered. 3 Main Monster Zones + 3 Spell/Trap Zones + 1 Field Zone and 2 Extra Monster Zones is all you have.
- Each player starts with 4 cards instead of 5. The player going 2nd will draw into a 5th card, but the player going 1st will NOT.
- A custom banlist must be followed.
- When activating a Player Skill, you must declare what Player Skill you are using. Lying about what Skill(s) you have access to will result to penalty.
