Can we Get more judges

Post #1 by mokhalil13 » Thu Jun 15, 2023 6:12 pm

Can we get more judges Please. It seems like judges are never online, and on rated duels people abuse the fact that judges aren't online.

I still stand by the decision that schedules should be made and maintained.

Having more judges doesn't solve the issue of those judges having lives of their own to live. You want active judges, donate to the site so they can pay for judges. Or grow a pair and take the judge test yourself.

It's a fair question.

We are always open to hiring more judges. However, for obvious reasons, we have a selection criteria. That criteria begins by passing the DuelingBook Judge Exam, the link to which can be found in the Announcements on the login page.

I'm aware

If you were aware the you would realise donating doesn't get more judges it only helps keep the servers up.

more people would want to be a judge for a thriving site, more donations means more QOL changes, which means a better site, which attracts more players, which means more potential judges. DB's current population is a pretty stagnant pool as is

Wishful thinking. Donations just help keep the servers up. Nothing more and nothing less.

Yes... And if the donations cover those costs of servers, the remaining sum isn't taken as profit... It's put back into qol development for the site... It's not wishful thinking it's just how you'd operate a site.

It's wishful thinking. Any leftover money is put into other needs but that doesn't help get more judges. After all there was a user complaining about the UI on DB not long ago. What you are saying is wishful thinking. Nothing more and nothing less.
