I made an archtype based on Bleach characters, please review

So this is the archtype in the shape of a possible deck. The card in the Side deck explains the main mechanic of the monsters, but is not actually usable in a duel:

Shikai and Bankai are not proper PSCT, if you want 2 effects, do it similar to BLS Envoy of the Beginning.

The effects that the monsters get off of is really huge, i would probably try to tone it down a bit even if they cant activate any effects without their continuous spells. Soi Fon is a one card "able to get everything" card so tone that down as well unless you nerf the Bankai or Shikai effs since the Gin and Kaname can easily fetch Soi Fon. Overwhelming Reisatsu is not clear on what it is suppose to do (Negate Effects of all face-up monsters your opponent control meaning the monster they currently control or does the effect lingers until the end of the turn?) The only real way to balance this deck out is to nerf Soi Fon, The Bankai or Shikai effs, or tone down the searchers because there is 4 cards that search stuff making 12 cards that can fetch the deck.

True that these are not proper PSCT for the standard game but the way it's formatted makes it a new mechenic.
Honestly, what's wrong with creating a new mechenic with custom cards?

I believe I understand what you mean, but please tell me if I'm wrong:
I should put "This effect can only be used/activated while you control Shikai/Bankai.", is that about correct?
I kinda tried making it a sort of mini-mechanic to avoid having to put even more text onto all of the cards. It is also why I used ☆ instead of ●.

And I do believe that this sort of "mechanic" on it's own is not really broken and I at least thought it was easy to understand.

I just realised there was a techincal error on Soi Fon. That searching stuff is actually NOT her effect, but that of the field spell *facepalm* will be fixing that soon. And I think I will make the field spell a HOPT.

Soi Fons actual effect is like placing counters and destroying anything she battles that has on of those counters. I wanted to have the shikai and bankai effects kinda resemble what they did in the Anime/Manga.

Thank you for pointing it out, I haven't played the cards yet and have not spent any time on duelingbook the last 1 or 2 weeks, so I don't know when I would've realised without you xD

It seems like weird gatekeeping, but ok. So by that logic, custom cards can exclusively only do what officially made Konami cards do and are not allowed to be innovative for its creativity, taking Ghostricks and Super-Heavy Sams as examples of new mechanics Konami made that are in a similar light to this. Please note that those two archetypes are far from the list of examples that could be used. It seems overly limiting and kinda voids several amazing custom archetypes I have seen. That to me feels like it defeats the purpose.

really? because I honestly don't think being able to ignore face-down monsters or attacking in defense position is a normal mechanic. It's the same as with crystal beasts and artifacts allowing monsters to exist in the S/T zone. when each of those archetypes came out, they were new mechanics because outside of there own effects, the rules and normal mechanics of the game does not allow for the player to do these things normally.

Attacking directly is indeed a normal mechanic, and attacking in defense position is also not new, there have been monsters before them that could do that. Simply putting monsters in other zones is not a new mechanic, its just an effect.

The cards are too powerful. Also, if you want each card to have Shikai/Bankai effects then I'd change them to have quick effects that can be activated if you control a "Shikai!" or "Bankai!" face-up card, both of which are quick-play spells that don't do much on their own as they are only there to allow the Shinigami monsters to activate.

So for example, you might have Rukia whose effect when Shikai is activated is to negate the effects of cards in the same column, while her effect when Bankai is activated is to negate the effects of currently face-up spell/traps, and if she's attacked from that point on she automatically destroys herself.

This is kinda interesting so I might try and build this myself :)
