FINALLY some good EGYPTIAN GOD Support!

Post #1 by The Beast Incarnate » Sat Dec 02, 2017 11:19 pm

This is my attempt to return the Egyptian God cards to the status of being feared:

Disciple of Light
Attribute: Light
Level: 3
Type: Fairy
ATK/DEF: 600/1100
This card's name is treated as 'Ra's disciple' while in your hand, deck, and/or GY. Cannot be used for a Synchro, XYZ, or LINK summon. Cannot be Tributed, except for the Tribute summon of a monster whose original attribute is DIVINE. If you Tribute this card for the Tribute Summon of a DIVINE monster, that monster becomes unaffected by your opponents card effects but it cannot attack the turn it is summoned.

Card Explanation: This card buffs 'Ra's Disciple' in that it becomes another target for its effect. This card buffs the Egyptian God cards in that they no longer require protection by easy-to-get-around cards like “Mound of the Bound Creator”. This card replaces the need to run hardened armed dragon in Egyptian god decks.

Stone Tablet of Wdjat:
Card Type: Continuous Spell
You cannot Special summon monsters from the extra deck. Only once per turn you can activate each of these effects in sequence: (1) Shuffle any number of LIGHT Fairy type monsters with 'Disciple' in its name from your hand into your deck and then draw the same number of cards. (2) Look at the top 5 cards in your deck and arrange them in any order. (3) If you resolve both of these effects in the same turn you can Tribute Summon 1 DIVINE monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set this turn.

Card Explanation: This card buffs Egyptian God decks in that it makes them more consistent. This card removes the need to tun 'Card Advance'. This card is balanced in that it prevents you spamming the extra deck and forces you to not rely on the extra deck. One might think that the effect that allows you to perform an additional normal summon is broken, but recall that if you tribute 'Disciple of Light' that your Egyptian God card cannot attack the turn it is summoned.

problem is if it's treated as Ra's disciple in the deck then you can run 3 of these but no ra's disciple. you can run 2 of these but only 1 ra's disciple Think Harpy Lady clause.

This is worded different. Harpie Ladies don't state when they are OG lady out side a couple.
The couple that do, get around the clause

The first card is, according to official game rulings, impossible. A card cannot have an effect that applies while it's in the deck or unrevealed in the hand. Continuous effects are always public knowledge as long as they're applied. The harpie ladies still follow this rule, since they don't state any specific location and are, according to game mechanics, harpie lady at all times. You can either have the effect apply while it's on the field, in the graveyard and while banished, but that's about it. If you want it to apply everywhere, including in hand and deck, you need to use the harpie lady clause, and in that case both disciples would share a limit of 3.

Another way is it can be that it can special summon itself from the deck if you have 2 or less Ra"s deciple out (minimum 1)
