Deck Spotlight: Meet The Colors

Post #1 by UberTrainerMinusInfinity » Thu May 04, 2023 9:11 pm

MEET THE COLORS
https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=12750841
Year of Origin: 2019, as part of Preschool Prep Company.
Is it real?: Yes
Ace Monster: Meet The Rainbow!
The Main Races: Fiend
The Main Attributes: FIRE, WATER, EARTH, WIND, LIGHT, DARK, DIVINE
Extra Monsters: Fusion
Attack: 4/5
Defence: 4/5
Strategy: 5/5
Intellect: 5/5
Luck: 5/5
THE STORY:
Children will fall in love with these wonderful characters as they "Meet the Colors."!
STRATEGY:
....Except here. Here, this team of colors is here to disrupt enemy tactics to oblivion, one Fusion Summon at a time! Taking hues from a Duel Portal archetype of past lost, the three primary Meet The Colors, can search each other out when they're summoned for an easy Fusion Summon, in the order of Meet The Red, Meet The Blue, and Meet The Yellow, then back to Meet The Red. Each one can also destroy an enemy card by discarding a Meet card, which is a quick effect while your opponent controls a Set monster! In order, Meet The Red pops Traps, Meet The Blue pops Spells, and Meet The Yellow pops Monsters.
Once you get two colors together, you can fuse them together to form a secondary color, preferably with Meet The Chest, which allows you to fuse monsters from the deck if your GY has a Meet Fusion monster! Meet The Green prevents your opponent from Special Summoning during your turn and can force your opponent to give up the top five cards of their deck for the life of a Special Summoned monster, Meet The Orange makes all your opponent's monsters harder to Normal Summon and can protect Meet cards by discarding one, while Meet The Purple ruins enemy archetype effects during your turn by making their names be Kuriboh, and can prevent any 1 card from being activated by banishing a Fiend from your GY, but your opponent also gets to choose a card to nulify this turn! When they are destroyed, they can split back into their Fusion Materials for another Fusion Summon!
Unite a Meet Fusion Monster with 2 Meet monsters to form this deck's saving grace, Meet The Rainbow! This heavy behemoth mills the deck of anyone who Special Summons a monster, and stops your opponent from Special Summoning entirely if you have a complete rainbow of Meet cards in your GY! (7 or more Meet monsters with different names, of which 3 are Fusion monsters: Bringing out and destroying the three prior Fusion monsters and using Meet The White or Meet The Black for material for Meet The Rainbow's Summon will easily fulfil this requirement) Plus, it cannot be destroyed the turn it was summoned!
KILLER COMBOS:
Meet The Painting is the deck's primary searcher, allowing you to search out a Meet card and recycle Polymerization or Meet The Chest in a single go! In an emergency, it can also get rid of Special Summoned monsters or inflict damage!
If Meet The White is used as Fusion Material, you get to search out any 1 Fusion Material, potentially setting up another Fusion Summon if you have'nt used your Normal Summon yet and you search out one of the primary colors, and her drawback doesn't really matter if all your named Fusion Materials are Fiend Monsters! Plus, she can subsitute any 1 named fusion material!
This deck is also compatible with Grapha, Dragon Overlord Of Dark World, especially with Meet The Chest: To bring him out in this deck, you need to fuse his base form with either Meet The White or Meet The Purple, or the single Kuriboh.....
....Because, in an emergency, you can use Meet The Purple's drawback to your advantage with Multiply!

Sorry to interrupt because of How Long Christen's gone...
In general, the T in the word "The" in your card names should be lowercased

For the Meet the Blue, the Effect Look like this.
"If this card is Summoned: when you activate this effect, you can also reveal 1 "Meet" Spell/Trap from your hand; add 1 "Meet the Yellow" from your Deck/GY to your hand, then, if you revealed a "Meet" Spell/Trap card, you can add 1 Level 4 "Meet" monster or 1 "Meet" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand with a different name from the Revealed card. You can discard 1 ''Meet'' card, then target 1 face-up Spell OR 1 Set Spell/Trap on the field; destroy that target if it is a Spell. (If the target is Set, reveal it.) This is a Quick Effect if your opponent controls a face-down Defense Position monster. You can only use each of the following effects of "Meet the Blue" once per turn. While this is in your GY, monsters you control that list "Meet the Blue" as material cannot be destroyed by Spell effects."

"Meet the Red"'s Effect should become...
"If this card is Summoned: when you activate this effect, you can also reveal 1 "Meet" Spell/Trap from your hand; add 1 "Meet the Blue" from your Deck/GY to your hand, then, if you revealed a "Meet" Spell/Trap card, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to your "Meet" cards and effects. You can discard 1 ''Meet'' card, then target 1 face-up Trap OR 1 Set Spell/Trap on the field; destroy that target if it is a Trap. (If the target is Set, reveal it.) This is a Quick Effect if your opponent controls a face-down Defense Position monster. You can only use each of the following effects of "Meet the Red" once per turn. While this is in your GY, monsters you control that list "Meet the Red" as material cannot be destroyed by Trap effects.

For "Meet the Yellow", the Effect should be changed to...
"If this card is Summoned: when you activate this effect, you can also reveal 1 "Meet" Spell/Trap from your hand; add 1 "Meet the Red" from your Deck/GY to your hand, then, if you revealed a "Meet" Spell/Trap card, your "Meet" monsters cannot be destroyed by Battle until the End of the next turn. You can discard 1 ''Meet'' card, then target 1 Special Summoned Effect monster on the field, destroy it. This is a Quick Effect if your opponent controls a face-down Defense Position monster. You can only use each of the following effects of "Meet the Yellow" once per turn. While this is in your GY, monsters you control that list "Meet the Yellow" as material cannot be destroyed by Monster effects.

The effect of "Meet the White" can be changed to...
"FLIP: Special Summon 1 Level 2 Fiend monster from your hand/Deck/GY, but negate it's effects (if any), then, Fusion Summon 1 Fusion monster from your Extra Deck using monsters from your field as Material, including the Summoned monster.
This card in your hand/field/GY can be used as a substitute for any 1 Fusion Material whose name is mentioned on the Fusion Monster Card, but the other materials must be correct. If this is used as Fusion Material: You can reveal 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, add 1 of the Fusion Materials whose name is specifically listed on that card, then, lose half your LP if you did not add a monster whose original Type is Fiend this way.
"

The Effect of "Meet the Black" can be changed to
"This card in your hand/field/GY can be used as a substitute for any 1 Fusion Material whose name is mentioned on the Fusion Monster Card, but the other materials must be correct. If you Normal or Special Summon a "Meet" monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand, then if you control 3 or more ''Meet'' monsters, you can Fusion Summon 1 monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or Field as Fusion Material. Gains 500 ATK for each Level 2 or higher monster you control."

and for the Fusions....
"Meet the Rainbow"'s Attribute must be changed to LIGHT because using DIVINE or Divine-Beast for an Attribute/Type on a Card that isn't an Egyptian God or Similar is considered a Sin in Custom Card making and it's effect can be changed to...
"1 ''Meet'' Fusion monster + 2 Level 4 or lower ''Meet'' monsters
Must be Fusion Summoned. Cannot be destroyed the turn it was Special Summoned. While face-up on the field, this card is also DARK, EARTH, WATER, FIRE, and WIND-Attribute. if a monster is Special Summoned: the Player who Special Summoned it sends the top 5 cards of their Deck to the GY. While your GY has 7 or more ''Meet'' monsters with different names, including 3 or more Fusion monsters, your opponent cannot Special Summon monsters from their hand/Deck.
"

"Meet the Green"'s Effect can be changed to
"''Meet The Blue'' + ''Meet The Yellow''
During your turn, your opponent cannot Special Summon. During your opponent's turn, you cannot Special Summon, except Fiend Monsters. Once per turn, you can target 1 Special Summoned monster that the turn player controls; (Quick Effect): The turn player can send the top 5 cards of their deck to the GY to negate this effect, otherwise banish it. If this is destroyed, you can Special Summon up to 1 each "Meet the Blue" and "Meet the Yellow" from your GY.
"

"Meet the Orange"'s Effect can be Changed to
"''Meet The Yellow'' + ''Meet The Red''
During your turn, increase the levels of all monsters in your hand by 2. During your opponent's turn, increase the levels of all monsters in your opponent's hand by 2. Once per turn, you can discard 1 ''Meet'' card; (Quick Effect): For the rest of this turn, your ''Meet'' monsters cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. If this is destroyed, you can Special Summon up to 1 each "Meet the Red" and "Meet the Yellow" from your GY.
"

"Meet the Purple"'s Effect can be changed to
"''Meet The Red'' + ''Meet The Blue''
"During your turn, the names of all monsters your opponent controls becomes ''Kuriboh''. During your opponent's turn, the names of all non-Fiend monsters you control becomes ''Kuriboh''. Once per turn, (Quick Effect): you can banish 1 Fiend monster from your GY: declare 1 card name, then your opponent declares 1 card name; For the rest of this turn, neither player can activate cards with those names. If this is destroyed, you can Special Summon up to 1 each "Meet the Red" and "Meet the Blue" from your GY."

For "Meet the Chest", the Effect must be changed to
"Fusion Summon 1 Fiend Fusion monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand/field as Fusion Material, and if you do, you can banish 1 card from your opponent's GY. If there is a ''Meet'' Fusion monster in your GY, and you're Fusion Summoning a monster that doesn't list a Fusion monster as material, you can also banish up 1 monster each from your Deck and GY. You can only activate 1 "Meet the Chest" per turn."

For "Meet the Painting", the effect can be changed to...
"Activate 2 of the following effects. (You cannot select the same effect twice)
● Add 1 ''Meet'' card from your deck to your hand, except this card.
● Add 1 ''Meet The Chest'' or ''Polymerization'' from your GY to your hand.
● Discard 1 ''Meet'' card, target 1 Special Summoned monster on the field, destroy it.
You can only activate 1 "Meet the Painting" per turn.
"

"Meet the Jump"'s effect can be changed to
"Destroy 1 ''Meet'' monster you control, apply the following effect based on the destroyed card. You can only activate 1 "Meet the Jump" per turn.
● Fusion Monster: Return all Special Summoned monsters on the field to their owner's hands, except Fiend monsters.
● Other: Target 1 card on the field: destroy it.
"

and Lastly, "Meet the Splat"'s effect must be changed to...
"If your opponent activates a monster effect while you control a ''Meet'' card: negate the activation, then, you can Fusion Summon 1 Fiend monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or either field as material, including that monster. When using a monster owned by your opponent for a Fusion Summon this way, it can be used as a substitute for any 1 Fusion Material whose name is specifically listed on the Fusion Monster Card, but the other Fusion Material(s) must be correct."

james123's...uh...changes are now live on Dueling Book! The most notable of these is to Meet The Rainbow, who now requires the generic Meet Materials to be level 4 or lower, meaning you can't combine additional Fusion monsters for its summon, on top of the fact it treats itself as all Attributes now! In addition, the Meet Fusion monsters no longer split if a Fusion Subsitute monster was used in their Fusion Summon, and Meet the Painting loses it's damage effect, meaning it's actually a dead draw since you can't meet the conditions of its other two effects on a fresh field, so I had to do a slight rework on it. Besides from the fact that all their Spell/Trap cards are now hard once per turns, the rest of the changes are merely wording changes.
Thank you for the changes, james123!

I found another oversight on Meet The Rainbow
The part here that reads:
While your GY has 7 or more ''Meet'' monsters with different names, including 3 or more Fusion monsters, your opponent cannot Special Summon monsters from their hand/Deck.
can be changed to
While you have 7 or more "Meet" monsters with different names in your GY, including at least 3 Fusion monsters; your opponent cannot Special Summon Effect monsters from their hand/Deck.

With Animation Chronicle '23 out, Replace 1 "Meet the Rainbow" and 1 "Grapha, Dragon Overlord of Dark World" with Double "Colorless, Chaos King of Dark World"... and Update the part that reads
"While this is in your GY" on your "Meet the Red", "Meet the Blue", and "Meet the Yellow"
as While this card is in your GY

You forgot to add "Colorless, Chaos King of Dark World" and while doing a Play test, you forgot to replace the part that says "of the following effects" with "effect" on "Meet the Red", "Meet the Blue" and "Meet the Yellow" Because i accidentally made an unseen grammar mistake so my bad! Also, Im afriad that the Level 2 cards are gonna enforce the searching the next monster effect... so to make it optional... add a "you can" on the monster adding effects...

This is not the real custom cardmaker, it doesn't mean that, basing and/or creating archetypes on ALREADY existing Anime, Manga and cartoons fanart, treating it as a original custom. Indeed, the real cardmaker creates his drawings and his cards, he doesn't go looking for them on the internet or takes screenshots of the images... (pathetics)

If you're so good at making cards, then try making your own card game or become a designer/artist for an already existing game.
