Saraak's Aggregate of Custom Cards

Post #1 by Saraak » Mon Mar 08, 2021 11:02 am

I couldn't fit all my Custom Card/Archetype links into my forum signature, so I just decided to make a thread that would hold all the thread links to them, purely out of laziness. If that isn't allowed, just let me know.

One-offs cards thread

Custom Archetype

LAN-Shoujo - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=14374
Short Description: A Combo Archetype that seeks to make an Extra-Link (or U-Link) on the first turn. However, it rarely gets the chance to do so if disrupted against hand-traps. There isn't much to this deck outside of turn 1, outside a bit of burn and disruption. In hindsight, designing an archetype purely based on card art is never a good idea.

I should probably split the first post into many posts. Idk what I was thinking when I didn't do that. It's a cluttered mess.

Custom Archetype

Holomyth - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=14388
Short Description: A Mid-range Archetype that can set up a good board with disruptions. However, the real strength of the deck comes from the Spell/Trap cards that get recycled by the boss monsters. Although, it's just a fan deck for Hololive EN, so while balancing the cards might be nice, the goal of it is to faithfully make them fit the theme.

Custom Archetype

Paradigm Warp - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=14863
Short Description: A Mill-focused Control Archetype that's slow to get going. However, once it does, the giant ships the starter card summons can easily end up disrupting the enemy board. They don't deal battle damage, but instead, focus on banishing cards from the opponent's deck, face-down, like an 'Eater of Millions' on legs.

Custom Archetype

Filmen Genus - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=15588
Short Description: A Ritual Pendulum Archetype (yeah, original I know) that focuses on Ritual Summoning at most twice during your first turn, and then Pendulum Summoning them back if needed. Each Ritual Pendulum Monster acts as Pseudo-Ritual Spells (cmon, Pendulums are half-spells) so you never really open without ritual summoning at least once.

Custom Archetype

Arturia - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=18487
Short Description: An archetype that focuses on disruption via Synchro or Xyz Summoning monsters, maybe even during your opponent's turn via the Equip Spells, and providing widespread protection/negation through the use of Avalon Counters. Generic, but I like to design around the theme of the Servants (Synchro) becoming Alters (Xyz) as dictated in their original Type-moon lore.

Custom Archetype

trospecter - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=18539
Short Description: Inspired by the Playstyle of Vanguard Tsukuyomi Decks, which focuses on creating a 'Stack' of pre-known cards via excavation and placing them at the bottom of your Deck in any order. Doing this will trigger their effects and trigger their Extra Deck monsters effects. However, you're indirectly locked out of ever using Search cards, and Mill/Banish cards unless they only Mill/Banish from the top of your Deck. Very hard Deck to use because if you open your Deck once on DB, everything is shuffled. Rip.

Custom Archetype

Pritaceous - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=20312
Short Description: A bunch of Normal Pendulum Dinosaur monsters, whose effects lock you out of Special Summoning Effect Monsters. The main gimmick exists in the Field Spell which, at the cost of half your LP and having no cards in hand, you can Pendulum Summon the archetype monsters from your Deck, but you won't be able to Special Summon Effect Monsters and cannot inflict battle damage that turn. Expect to be playing a swarm-focused control playstyle.

Custom Archetype

Nobunaga - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=21154
Short Description: A Burn focused deck that uses the dealt effect damage to either summon tokens, power up the monsters, or trigger their own effects. The main gimmick is, again, the Field Spell, which does the majority of burning and token summoning. The other archetype Spell/Traps help facilitate or combo off of it, even searching it when sent to the GY. The monsters merely take advantage of the tokens as either Link/Tribute material, or for their effects.

Custom Archetype

Holomech - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=21559
Short Description: A midrange combo deck that has Pendulum Monsters that can, if your opponent controls a Machine monster, will be able to do things from standard disruption to Pendulum Summoning on your opponent's turn. The Link and Trap are the main helping facilitators of this. If played with Therions King Regulus, you can circumvent many weaknesses that Pendulum Monsters usually have.

Custom Archetype

Clocktower - https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=25322
Short Description: A midrange combo deck that focuses on placing Sealing Counters on your opponent's cards and activating various effects because of it. You can add cards from your Deck, banish, negate, or destroy cards by using those counters. However, the Deck lacks any ways to handle hand or GY effects, which makes it hard for them to stop decks like Phantom Knights or Prank-Kids.
