Decree does stop Typhoon by negating it, fool. Also, of course Amplifier makes Jinzo better, it's one more card, that's an unfair comparison. Decree is not a Level 6 monster so you can just use it, which makes more accessible to any deck

decree only stops traps on the field. typhoon can be activated while in the hand. so TRY AGAIN!!!

CrystalMusic wrote:Royal Decree: Negate all other Trap effects on the field.

Jinzo: Trap Cards, and their effects on the field, cannot be activated. Negate all Trap effects on the field.

Typhoon: Target 1 face-up Spell/Trap on the field; destroy it. If your opponent controls 2 or more Spells/Traps and you control no Spells/Traps, you can activate this card from your hand.

Jinzo can stop Typhoon while Decree cannot! Jinzo is better despite having a slightly harder requirement to be on the field! and again with amplifyer my traps wont be affected by jinzo, but with your decree yours are! JINZO IS BETTER!!!

That doesn't mean that Typhoon resolves in the hand. If there's an already activated Royal Decree, Typhoon will have its effect negated once it resolves on the field.

Also, while Jinzo can prevent Typhoon from being activated and can combo with Amplifier, you're talking about two cards that has little to no sinergy to get them out from the deck and can be quite undesirable to draw in most situations. Royal Decree does essentially what Jinzo does and it's slightly harder to be removed from the field, compared to a monster with no protection.

You would have more chances if you used Splendid Venus with Royal Decree instead, specially in as a focused Counter Fairy deck.

CrystalMusic wrote:https://www.duelingbook.com/replay?id=200963-26638636 this is why jinzo is better than decree. amplifyer makes it so my traps can still be used while my opponents cannot. decree makes it so all other traps are negated.

this is just an example of what my LOCK deck can do. its stops everything except exodia! even pends. as long as its in classic.

if you tried to replace amp and jinzo with decree this lock wouldnt work! so care to say that your decree is still better than jinzo???

Because a two card with no synergy in a deck, required to be used in tandem, is too cumbersome and inefficient compared to a simple, splashable trap that can do essentially the same as the base card of said "combo". Simplicity beats convoluted strength, making Royal Decree generally the best option of the two.

I forgot to mention that this lock is too convoluted and unrealistic to work. Unless your opponent is actively supporting you or had their deck sabotaged to brick beyond reason, this scenario can't be used as an argument.

Typhoon can be activated from the hand, but Decree still negates its effects when it hits the field.
I actually tested this on EDOpro and yes, it does work that way, they both can negate traps regardless of where they activate, except Jinzo is a waste of a normal summon due to having no protection from spells while Decree can just be activated.
You really can't be serious about defending some monster that is just a Royal Decree that's harder to get out, right?

Darkraiclone I mean this is the guy who defends dust tornado and says it’s worlds better then mst. In addition typhoon’s hand activation can only work if the opponent has 2 or more spells and traps and you have none.

(CrystalMusic in the spotlight of another thread? I wonder how this all started...)
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Anyways, this was the most fun online duel I had since Quarantine started:

https://www.duelingbook.com/replay?id=647399-26641811

Since last year, I have started to regain interest in Final Boss monsters after the Sacred Beast support & The Winged Dragon of Ra support, as well as being inspired by someone in Dueling Nexus who has made Dark Magician cards work with "True Name" (for Slifer & Obelisk). That was before I ever started entering Duelingbook (in August 2020). There's more I could say about this, but I'll leave that for another day.

Enjoy watching an alternate timeline of "Yami Marik vs. Yami Yugi".

https://www.duelingbook.com/replay?id=200963-26645061 - another case of: if u didnt like the rules: DONT JOIN

[0:00] CrystalMusic hosted Single (with siding) in Advanced (Unrated) with duel note "1st Gen & GX Only. No Archetypes."

GX Ended on march 26, 2008 therefore anything beyond from April 2008 to 2021 is not allowed.

- Pot of Extravagence came out in 1/31/2019 as part of the Savage Strike Set as a Secret Rare: Proof: https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Pot_of_Extravagance

- Lightning Storm came out in 1/30/2020 as part of the Ignition Assault as both a Secret Rare and a Starlight Rare: Proof: https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Lightning_Storm

This is why i research the release date of my cards in my deck before hosting a duel so i have the proper information of when the cards came out.

And, yet, you managed to include Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon, Zombie World and many other cards from the eponymous Structure Deck released on October 21st, 2008 until someone called you out. Or Amazoness Spy, released in 2017.

We could also discuss about your usage of Legendary Dragon cards released in 2014, but I'm sure you'll mention something about preferences or what you consider 1st gen to justify you distorting reality to meet some convoluted ends and relive the anime, despite nobody playing such cards back in the day.

Again 1 of 2 things must be met for it to fall under a generation:
1: it was released during that generation
2: it was used by a character in the same generation as the character. (example: yugi is 1st gen so anything from gx that he used is not allowed as gx is 2nd gen while yugi is 1st gen)

A concept that I have yet to see someone other than you use, instead of, you know, the chronological order of release. Official booster releases essentially defines the era, such as shown here: https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/TCG_Set_ ... :_Boosters , while the anime holds little to no importance to the game, other than giving some prospect of new card releases.

Also, that still doesn't justify the zombies or the Amazoness Spy mentioned, since they don't fit in either of those personal criteria of yours

aaand more people that cant obey a duel note: https://www.duelingbook.com/replay?id=200963-26645890

[0:00] CrystalMusic hosted Single (with siding) in Advanced (Unrated) with duel note "1st Gen & GX Only. No Archetypes."

They had 3 cards that were long after gx ended on march 26, 2008:

- Dragon Shield which came out in 11/8/13 as part of the Judgement of the Light as a Super Rare: https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Dragon_Shield

- Blockout Curtain which came out in 7/25/2019 as part of the Rising Rampage Set as a Common: https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Blockout_Curtain

- Storm Dragon's Return which came out on 7/25/2019 as part of the Rising Rampage set as a Super Rare: https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Storm_Dragon%27s_Return

2 things determine a cards era:
1: its release date
2: if it was used by a character in the same generation in which they first appeared (again this means if yugi used a card in gx, then its not allowed as yugi is a 1st gen character not a gx character as he first appeared in duel monsters, not gx)

again: if you didnt like the rules: DO NOT JOIN. I dont get what is so hard about that!

Again, those two criteria are only used by you or, at the very least, they're don't constitute common sense, as people tend to strictly follow official chronological release instead of anime definitions.

Also, again, people disobeying your rules does not imply that they don't like them. If they do that after joining your room is likely because they don't know any better or don't care. The ones that don't like them are doing anything but joining your games, I don't get what is so hard to understand there.

How many people do you think even notice your rules? You sure won't find them by just randomly hosting a room and praying that they follow them.
