For this thread I am giving yugioh characters each 1 pokemon that best represents them or close to that. I will try to avoid giving the same pokemon to more than one Yugioh character. The original post will be updated over time. I may or may not do a thread that gives Yugioh characters a full team.

Mako Tsunami: Sharpedo

Zane Truesdale: Duraludon
Yusei Fudo: Dragonite
Jack Atlas: Hydreigon
Crow Hogan: Honchkrow
Akiza: Roserade
Luna: Celebi

That would be a long explanation but I can at least give 1 or 2 per post so for Yami Yugi/Yugi Muto there are 2 monsters that represent them Dark Magician for its mystical side and Buster Blader for the warrior side and the closest pokemon to that is Gallade being a Psychic Fighting type. For Joey Wheeler since his ace monster is the Red-Eyes Black Dragon the closest pokemon to that monster is Zekrom because he is a black dragon with red eyes I know that Zekrom uses electricity instead of fire but its the closest I can get.

The reason I chose sharpedo is a reference to Mako's Ace monster The Legendary Fisherman who rides a shark and if you played Sun and Moon or Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Sharpedo is one of the ride pokemon
