Well, yeah. No wonder the United Kingdom went through a gradual shift towards the International System of Units (SI).

Americans will likely remain with the imperial system until it's proven that there'll be economical advantage by using SI. Even though every now and then some incidents happens, costing organisations millions, like with NASA: https://www.simscale.com/blog/2017/12/n ... er-metric/
