Thunder Dragon Danger vs Orcusts (0-1)
They started (need to really stop choosing scissors in singles) and opened godly, picked godly on dangers, too much disruption and I lost.

Thunder Dragon Danger vs Salamangreat (0-1)
I am not choosing scissors anymore in singles… They start with dweller, they have the counter trap and veiler. Not a lot I could have done.

Paper wins me the RPS and I start. My hand is so weird the guy thinks the build is pure until I get dread online. A third colossus would have helped here. Oh well. Still got it with a solid opening and disruption.

I need to stop picking scissors, geesh, lol. I lose RPS and they start, not much to say, they don’t use their xyz aggressively enough and quit as I go off because of it.

Thunder Dragon Danger vs kozmos (1-0)
I choose paper, lose RPS, go first. They are playing kozmos, and despite infinite on dread drop to my field. Having no mini dragon out there stung a bit.

Thunder Dragon Danger vs Gravekeepers (0-1)
Mindlessly choose scissors and draw, lol. I lose RPS anyways and face the god hand of necrovalley backed by double solemn and a turn turn clock afterwards. I force both solemns and later hit a virus. I wasn’t getting out of that, lol.

His droll wrecks me, he has gozen, but at the end of the day, they suck and their engine is garbage. A simple jack in defense stalls for a turn, colossus in defense does them in.

Guy seemed like a bad player, too focused on only winning if they start, haha. He opened dyna, which trolls this deck, lel. Thinking this build is a bit unstable vs rogue. Brokenness is cute, but when many decks can take going first wins, how good is it really? Easy win long live paper for letting me start.

Thunder Dragon Danger vs Mekks (1-0)
I choose scissors, stupid me, and lose, only to get chosen to go first. I make field and win. But I goofed, should have gone for dark into hawk for more resources, but thought roar was better. I failed to account for my lack of link plays here.

I choose scissors again, ugh, and lose. This time they start with some negation, but I run through their counter trap and ash to make a field they scoop before I finish.

Had a busy day yesterday. Anyways, some brief business.

Going to move this to my storage, don't feel like messing with it atm. Still not sure how they solve their floodgate issues and make too many easy auto-losses. Might come back to it later, but a deck being unfair only means so much, everyone has unfair interactions these days, you have to be able to take it as well as dish it out. Still have things I did poorly on, but I don't get the impression this deck fixes its problems.

Been working on making some standardized lists for testing purposes. Since they are not my testing builds or even always placed on The Notetaker, the decision to place them here is still being thought over, and if I do, to do it in imgur stamps like before, or use the duelingbook deck updates for the regular screens. Even if I'm posting them one at a time or in a group is in question, and when.

https://imgur.com/CkEtG4j A casual build trying to make use of the dangers to filter into the blue-eyes ritual through their effects, making skull dread, etc. The 3s with the lv 1 tuner had a cute interaction with herald. The spells could be set and discarded rituals even grabbed back. Just thought I'd drop it here.

Still been fairly inactive, but kept thinking about how I wanted to use the same cards regardless of the deck. Patterns that hit decks even if I had not confirmed that they worked. Too many standalone techs without regard for what the deck should have been doing.

https://imgur.com/ADSGwah Been inactive again, just wasn't up to doing as much Yugioh I guess. Hopefully I'm back. Going to just get back into the feel of salamangreat, mess with a few things.

Well, we've passed July 1, the no soon than date. This means the list could come at any time. With that in mind I plan on mulling over my plans for the next format. Plans on activity, and my notes for my posts here for the next format. I plan on reformatting a bit. Early issues involved the overfocus on individual games that did less, not following the decks enough even though I did some practice, and a lack of overall activity in the format.

While posting replays, remove the in-game notes for average games. General themes are nice, but these specific notes are best for significant games or anything particularly important about the matches worth directly remembering in the future. Important patterns, etc. The replays can always be watched to acquire such information as the score, opponent, etc. but the record is hardly worth following as opponents vary in skill, as does personal gameplay with the deck. Even deck modifications can be clean from image to image, focusing on general things. Listing general techs are ok, things being tested.

Focus on increasing the game count early, quantity>quality. The practice from the format with various ideas are better than focusing on quality when ratings are irrelevant, and games are of questionable value with opponents regardless. Dozens of meh games are better than 3 goo ones early on, quality comes later as ideas form and comfort with the format is established.

Get unrated games with people you know or learn about. Search for experts to practice with to get specific ideas focused on. Random opponents are valuable in most cases, but sometimes ideas must be focused on.

While the format is ending, focus on practicing under it a bit more, this is to maintain practice with the cards and for staying in shape for when the next format rolls around to start it running out the game. When the new F/L list is released, work out what decks will likely be meta and establish potential builds and ideas.

Tbh, after doing some testing elsewhere, I'm realizing phant can really suck. It is so sub-par going first and going second you don't even always draw into a hand trap, etc. Would rather just use a real disruption like infinite. Even sky strikers can get kagari negated. But yeah, the stick isn't great, the draws aren't always the best, even fi the filtering is nice, and the weakness to ash is mildly irritating, though eating ash in general is nice, so I won't hold that against it too much. Rather than use a filter, just use a good draw. Card is a cute advantage piece, but it just doesn't get the job done for dealing with combo decks, the big reason to need hand traps, and generally if they aren't comboing why do you need it, some decks like draco not using links just makes this more annoying.
