So I decided to choose to do a little test of my most consistent deck to see how many bad hands I may or may not have. A bad hand will be considered that it can't make the basic play on turn 1 or 2, and they will be separated. So here is the deck
Now the goal of this deck is to Summon Number 59: Crooked Cook using Right Hand Shark and either Buzzsaw Shark or Silent Angler and sit on it. So a bad hand will be considered as, I'm unable to play this particular monster this will include potential hand traps that would "stop" my play only through Prosperity or Upstart Goblin. I just have to have an opening hand to play it. I will also not include anything that could be drawn from Maxx "C" as that is too huge of a variable.
The Results
Master Duel Going First
Good Hands: 81
Bad Hands: 3
Prosperity Success: 8
Prosperity Failure: 0
Upstart Goblin Success: 7
Upstart Goblin Failure: 1
With 4 bad hands plus the prosperity and Upstart Goblins being Ash'd we'd have a total of a 4% - 19% chance of having bad hands.
Master Duel Going 2nd
Good Hands: 91
Bad Hands: 3
Prosperity Success: 1
Prosperity Failure: 2
Upstart Goblin Success: 2
Upstart Goblin Failure: 1
With only 6 bad hands and with 3 being potentially Ash'd, we'd have a 6% - 9% chance of bricking
Special Notes: On the 58th Good Hand for going 2nd, I opened Triple Prosperity + Buzzsaw. Only Buzzsaw was needed for the combo. Also a large portion of the "Good Hands" didn't need the extra draw.
DuelingBook Going First
Good Hands: 77
Bad Hands: 8
Prosperity Success: 6
Prosperity Failure: 1
Upstart Goblin Success: 6
Upstart Goblin Failure: 2
With only 11 bad hands with 12 cards potentially being Ash'd we'd have 11% - 23% chance of having bad hands
Special Notes: Some of the bad hands were pretty good going 2nd when opening Maxx "C". But not a majority of them.
DuelingBook Going Second
Good Hands: 88
Bad Hands: 1
Prosperity Success: 5
Prosperity Failure: 6
Upstart Goblin Success: 0
Upstart Goblin Failure: 0
So with only 7 bad hands and if Prosperity was Ash'd then it'd be 12 bad hands, bricking at 7% - 12%
Special Notes: Majority of the Good Hands didn't need the extra draw when going 2nd.
Closing Statements: I would say that Master Duel when going 2nd is rather more generous with its RNG than Duelingbook, but for the most part I'd say they fall within a margin of error.
If you want me to include EdoPro results, I will do that in a later post if requested.

That depends on whether you can shuffle correctly to make a random order of cards.

Not like it matters because shuffling irl requires skills

I mean I COULD get a card shuffler out and pray to god that it wouldn't ruin my cards....but not taking that risk lmao
