However, they weren't playing fairly and quitting in succession. Having 5 different people quit on you is only boosting if you were CLEARLY TRYING to pair with them.

I didn't look like they were trying to shut anything down, but, I guess the way they worded their question did make it look like they were trying to do that.

No it isn't. It affects the rated pool if you boost. End of story. It isn't just "you and your friend chewing gum during a race".
