Ironically, other than YuGiOh, Minecraft is a pretty big thing out here. Just wondering out of the DB population who plays minecraft?

There is a lot of big franchises out there, so the question becomes, why Minecraft specifically?

I do enjoy Minecraft as well, but I haven't played since long ago. I should probably join a server whenever I find some free time.

I used to. My family used to have an old computer available to use, and the Minecraft software was in it for years now. Back then, my favorite thing to do there is playing the mods, and using it for Server Design Classes. It's not available now, so I can only play Steve by playing Smash Ult.

Anyways, congrats on being promoted to TO! I knew it would happen eventually with how good your reputation is.

I used to play minecraft a lot when I was younger (I started playing version 1.4.7) but I quit after version 1.9 because that update was terrible and ruined the fun for me. Minecraft's biggest issue in my opinion is that it keeps trying to fix what isn't broken.

Well, I would say that 1.16 has so much more to offer than 1.9. But yeah, a lot of games ifgnore the issues

I have an MC account, but do not play a lot, I only play occasionally to finish an ambitious project of mine (A 20-ish by 20-ish hole to the bottom of the world (on survival)).

I also prefer Java. There's some indescribable appeal in building your own server or renting a non-realm server and host it for dozen of friends to join, sometimes without even them having an official account. Not to mention the mods, as mentioned before.

I don't know, perhaps the microtransactions and a lack of community feeling that made me not want to acquire bedrock (yet).
