it really depends on your deck. some say to run 6 or 9. some ppl might just play 3 handtraps. to answer which ones should be used it depends on the current meta. you can look on youtube for several videos where they break down what are the best hand traps vs each meta deck. it seems to me right now that ppl are using alot of ash blossom and cards that stop the grave. I personally look at what my decks strengths and weaknesses are. then put in hand traps and tech cards that either fill in the gaps where my deck is slacking or cards that are going to shut down most the decks of the meta.

It all depends on the current meta. Back when I started playing, I swear everyone had Kuriboh in their decks, now I can barely go a single game without seeing Ash Blossom.
Personally I don't run any, but then again, my deck has a crippling weakness to not winning on the very first turn.

My favorite handtrap would have to be Infinite Impermanence due to how versatile it is. You can play it from your hand if you control no cards, making it good going second but you can also set it turn 1 and use it to disrupt your opponent and also negate a potential spell/trap too, making it also good going first. Very few handtraps are good both going first and going second.

Will try reviewing custom cards if they look interesting.

Beast King Barbaros is going to be the peak of Rush Duel powercreep if/when it gets printed in that game.

If put in the format at all, it would probably be a Legend card.
