if I have dark magician the dragon knight on the field would it affect my facedown cards.

While you control DM the Dragon Knight your Spell/Traps no matter if face-up or set or even in you Pendulum zones are non-targetable and indestructible by your opponent's cards, so yes. Obviously this doesn't go for your set monsters, but your backrow can now only be removed with either a Trunade, or another non-targeting, non-destroying removal effect. e.g.: Infernoid Seitsemas, Evenly Matched, Giant Trunade, Hey Trunade, Stellarknight Triverr, Madolche Queen Tiaramisu and many more.
