I'm just curious by this since I can't find official ruleings but does the effect of pretaplant Chimera work in xyz monsters?

It says it needs to Target a monster with a LEVEL lower then it so I figured it wouldn't but I haven't really played the game for like a year or so so I don't know if this has changed it I could get an answer that would be awesome

Q: Can I use the Ignition Effect of "Predaplant Chimerarafflesia" to target an Xyz Monster my opponent controls?

A: You cannot target an Xyz Monster your opponent controls with the Ignition Effect of "Predaplant Chimerarafflesia".
(Further Note: You cannot target a Link Monster. Link Monsters and Xyz Monster do NOT have Levels.)
