Melffy Hide-and-Seek vs The First Darklord

Just curious to know the rules of:

Melffy Hide-and-Seek's ability
"The first time each Beast monster you control would be destroyed by card effect each turn, it is not destroyed."
vs
The First Darklord's monster effect (or similar)
"You can destroy all cards your opponent controls.",

I get the spell will be destroyed, but both are spell speed 1,so does the Hide-and-Seek's spell still resolve?

Darklord doesn't say it negate any effects, just destroys the card (Similar to space typhoon).

Hide and seek does not have a spell speed as it does not activate it just applies when the destruction occurs. Destruction happens for both cards at once and hide and seek with protect the beast monster similar to field barrier still protecting the field spell from heavy storm.
