If I activate Small World and reveal Despian Tragedy and banish it face down, do I get the effect of Tragedy being banish by card effect?

No, banished face-down cards cannot use their effects unless it is specifically stated they can.

It's one of the dreaded Private knowledge Areas. Things like Absolute Zero, or in this case, Despian Tragedy, cannot trigger if they aren't in a public knowledge area.
