Main Deck Krawler Mechanics

Main Deck Krawlers second effect state that:

If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 2 "Krawler" monsters with different names from your Deck in face-down Defense Position.

Do these effects still apply when bounced to the hand by Compulsory Evacuation Device or World Legacy's Mind Meld?

From what I understand, yes, the effect still activates if sent to the hand.

The big rule change made it so that "leave the field" effects can't activate if the card was sent to the *deck/extra deck*, so unfortunately, Mind Meld no longer works with the Link Monsters.

Krawlers are the fun version of Subterrors, and I love them.

Thanks for the aclaration. And I agree, Krawlers in my opinion are the most fun Ive had with Yugioh thus far. They are usually bad, but its all worth it for when you get that nice 4 set board of nothing but Krawlers. I am currently trying to build them, since I had a couple coins left in my pocket /jk

as long as it was face up when sent. wouldnt get hte effect if it was face down
