To me, the only purpose for the button is for your opponent to know what card you chosed from your Deck, as you try to resolve the effect of "Card of Fate".

How do you resolve "Card of Fate"?

what I would do is:
1- Take the card you want.
2- Shuffle the deck, then mill the top card.
3- Repeat until you have other 4 cards (Shuffle and mill).
4- arrange them on the field (for convenience) and each card assign them a number from 1 to 5.
5- Roll a dice and see what the result is, then take the card corresponding with the result.
5.5 - If the result is 6 just reroll.

Why does that green button exist over the Main Deck?

It just opens my Main Deck, then it states that it was added randomly, even though I searched it. I clicked on it multiple times before in a row to see if anything different would happen, but the result was the same.

The green button exists, because duelingbook will choose the cards for you and will automate the process.
