responding on attack

Post #1 by skyelbow » Fri Feb 19, 2021 12:14 am

My opponent attacks, I play dimensional prison, he chains solemn judgement. After the chain resolves can I play mirror force on the same attack?

Yes you can, though, be ready for arguments to happen.

After the chain resolves, you cannot activate mirror force.

There is only one window of response for attack declaration. Once the chain in that window resolves, cards such as mirror force can no longer activate. For example you cannot use mirror force, then resolve the effect, then use another mirror force, but you are allowed to chain multiple mirror force together in one chain

DarkPhenix and greg503 are correct. You are only allowed to activate and chain these cards at attack declaration, which leaves time for exactly 1 chain of effects at most. Since Solemn Judgment is a Counter Trap you can only chain other Counter Traps to it, otherwise the chain stops here and your response window to the declaration of the attack is closed.
