Hi
I am not too fond of advanced format as I judge in real life much more than play. And when I do, it is Edison format.
So I played some Edison format to get the required EXP for the judge exam, but I can not take it. Is this an oversight or it is intended to be only advanced format EXP even though not explicitly stated?
Does the Judge Exam accept advanced format EXP only?

Not really, they want general judges with up to date knowledge not someone who can only help in one format with a low player pool

Isn't that what the test itself is about?
Getting 100 EXP only means you have a rudimentary knowledge of the game. What is more likely, is that it is used to measure some form of activity, which should be independent of format.
So instead of gaining 100 EXP in the current format (which of it calling as Advanced Rated (Format)), you think when you gained 100 EXP in a very old format (which name is calling as Edison Format), and with it: "I can answer Judge Calls related to the current format (etc)?"
