Messages button gone?

I don't know if this is a glitch or intentional, but I wanted to find someone who had sent me a message previously. I used to do this with the messages "tab" that shows all messages exchanged with users in the website.
I can no longer find it, was it removed or is it a problem on my side?
I know I can access message history with any user, but that doesn't work if I don't remember the username of the person who contacted me.
