Error to Send Confirmation Email

I'm having an issue trying to send a confirmation email. When I created my account, it gave me an error saying a confirmation email could not be sent. Now when I log in I get a message saying, "EMAIL CONFIRMATION: You must verify your account before you can login. Would you like a new confirmation link to be sent to your email?" When I select "Yes" I get another immediate message saying, "ERROR: Please try again later" Not sure if there is an issue on my end or on the website. If this is a common issue that has an easy fix it would be nice to know, thanks!
