suggestion about the dice

Post #1 by M112x » Tue Nov 28, 2023 10:00 am

a long click should be used for change the D6 in other dice, for ex. for randomize a choice to a card in the hand actually of 7 cards change the D6 to D7.

People see the Yugitubers on DB rolling dice and assume that's the only valid way to snipe Dangers

There are some situations like this one where you can't simply click the card in hand, yet don't want to use a dice either since the animation is so slow or because there are 7+ cards in the hand when the dice has only 6 sides. https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=27682

The amount of times this could possibly come up is pretty close to 0%.

Really? I'm shocked to hear that. Most people that needed a random outcome just used dice and were fine with that.

Compared to something that I had to discard a card randomly from their hand they'd always flip their shit.

Having you pick a card from their hand is as random as any other method of choosing a card, if they don't like it they cans huddle before you pick.

Every answer You give is correct, but it's a suggestion for an eventual upgrade, which some might like, nothing else.

Oh I know, but they won't accept it, and even if they shuffled their hand, it wouldn't matter cause I can't see it anyways.

Then that's their problem, they don't get to pick how you "randomly" choose, if they don't send the card you select then you can call a judge, and if they push the subject just leave and report for... Id say cheating or stalling.

The dice thing is not happening. But there are some ways to look at randomization with revealed cards

I just tell my opponents to shuffle their hand, and then whichever card ends up closest to their main deck after the shuffle (the one closest to the left-hand side from my point of view, or closest to the right-hand side from their point of view) is the card I "randomly" choose.
