I don't know if it has already been asked in the past, but wouldn't it be better to insert a ranked or in any case a room dedicated to the edison format? Dueling book has rooms that are practically unused (one above all that of the Rush duel) and there are many Edison players who play but who are forced to start creating in the Unlimited room. a signature collection has also been created to try to ask for this thing, and for now it has reached 3k signatures (....) which are certainly more than the players of the Rush duel/duel links format

Having an unranked Edison format would be okay, but there's a major flaw I see with having an Edison format that is ranked, and that is: How many duelingbook judges are actually familiar with Edison format's custom rules and banlist, or at least would be willing to familiarize themselves with such?

If becoming a judge means you have to be experienced with regular TCG rulings and Goat format rulings, then adding Edison format rulings to that requirement would likely be overwhelming and it currently doesn't seem like we'd have enough judges, resources, and manpower for that. It's bad enough we got people complaining about judges in regular TCG rated format, and rated Goat format, taking too long to arrive to answer calls, so having a third type of ranked format on top of all that would cause judges to further spread themselves thin.

I'm not sure why you'd need a room for Edison. There isn't really a problem with having duels happen in the Unlimited Unrated section.

A room would be nice, but ranked would be really be preferred. The current unrated - Edison note duels do usually work, there are the occasional hiccups of people not reading the note.. but the ranked ladder would be much nicer, it just removes a barrier to play and would probably lead to more games being played against a wider variety of opponents.

Seconded. The Goat ranked ladder I'm sure was a big reason for Konami to create the Time Wizard format, showing there was a lot of competitive support. It would be great to have that same kind of treatment for Edison and give it more validity, instead of the casual stuff in the unrated section. If its a matter of tedious tasks like generating the legal card pool for the deck building filter, the community can pitch in to help too.

I' m also in favor of introducing an Edison format room. Then you can finally play with people who take the whole thing seriously.

Since Edison format has had official tournament irl is there any more chance of a dedicated Edison section? If not why does Goat Format have one?
