Perfect answer, ty. I saw you answer something similar but just wanted to be sure. Anyways, so say if a summon or activation is successfully negated, since it's not being sent from the field to the grave, is it being sent from hand to the grave then? Or from nowhere, just "to the GY"?

If a Spell/Trap card's activation is negated, is it considered to be on the field before being sent to the GY?
